Freshman nose tackle Jerry Tillery walked off the field clutching his left arm against Navy before returning later in the game. Kelly confirmed Tillery suffered a sprained elbow and bone bruise, but the freshman will be fitted for a brace and ready for practice Tuesday.

Temp leave of absence? That sounds like something to do with off the field issues. Which if true, I have no problem with. But if this is a 'you lost to Washington, go think about it', it's a dick move by Haden IMO.

It's probably Haden pushing him to the steps of rehab. It wouldn't surprise me if it's announced he's checked in somewhere in the next 24 hours.

So this sounds like a medical thing or a Sark-got-drunk thing. Which I really can't believe he'd be that stupid to do, would he? I feel bad for him if this is a medical thing and people are jumping to conclusions. But oh well.

To be fair, if you can't coach, might as well be able to drink while you coach.

I hate USC just as much as the next Irish fan, but for Steve's health and his relationship with his family I really hope he gets the help he needs.

On a football related note, it looks like the Sarkesian era in So Cal could be ending soon and USC will be out shopping again.

And on a recruiting note, it is poaching season for ND

Who is this Clayton Guy? I'd rather Sark be there to be honest. Teams always seem to go HAM at least one game for interims. And IDK anything about how he'll call the game. I don't think this is necessarily great news for Saturday's game. I don't think it's going to be a huge factor, but I think it's an advantage for a team who's somewhat soft.

Oddly enough, just this morning, before this news broke, a guy told me he thinks Chip Kelly will be out at Philly after this year and land at USC. Have no idea how valid that theory is, but it would suck!

I studied a case for my sports law class kind of similar to this situation. If they fired him for this they would be violating the Americans with Disabilities Act as Sark could easily argue that his alcoholism is a disability.

I doubt Chip Kelly is going to get fired unless the Eagles reall crap the bed this season -- as in 14-2 or 13-3.
