I have to post this somewhere. So, I play in about a half dozen leagues - before marriage and the kid it used to be about double that. But the main league that I care about I've been in since college and it is (by far) the most money and is the most competitive. And in this league, I went into tonight's game up 15 with nobody going, and my opponent had Calvin. It is a PPR league. Long story short, I was comfortable all night and then Calvin caught a bunch of balls in the 4th and the Lions were marching down the field, and all of a sudden I was up 5 and the Lions were in the red zone. And I knew beyond all doubt that Calvin was going to get into the end zone and I was going to eat another bad beat - my second in a row to go to 2-2 with an absolutely stacked team. But THEN. Then, the absolute best thing that ever happened to me in the history of my 1,000s of fantasy teams. It was so beautiful. I actually didn't know what to do. It was the same type of feeling (obviously not on the same level) as the Malcolm Butler pick in the SB. It was the epitome of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.

Does anyone know how Yahoo calculates their power rankings and projected final standings? I'm in dead last in the IE league with the fewest total points scored, yet I'm fifth in the power rankings and projected to finish the league in third. I'd need to go 8-1 the rest of the way.
I believe it's based upon your players/teams projected points going forward vs your opponents going forward. So basically they project your players/team to win down the stretch.

Well, if the refs made the proper call you most likely would've had a shot at a Megatron jump ball TD

I think that they're biased against people who work for ESPN, so they are misleading you on purpose!

Won last night in the IE league because Seattle doesn't throw to Jimmy Graham, sorry Gattaca!

This is my first year doing fantasy football. Thus far I'm #1 in Points For (523.4), #1 in Points Against (515.4), and 1-3.

Not sure I'm enjoying this.

You didn't use an SEC scheduling model obviously. Gotta play the guy who took Dez Bryant or Marshawn Lynch in the first round the first two weeks.

ESPN: Network temporarily removes daily fantasy sports segments - NFL - SI.com

How huge of a scandal Is this? I know I won't be playing anymore.

There is another thread for DFS, but in my opinion it is terrible from an optics standpoint because the guy won on another site the same week. In reality, it probably shouldn't be that big of a deal - even if you don't believe DK and FD that they only release this data internally after rosters lock, the people who are really being impacted are the whales who are paying thousands of dollars to enter GPP tournaments hundreds of time and are doing this professionally. If you're doing it casually, it really doesn't impact you at all. You were NOT going to win a million dollars this weekend, no matter how much you know about football. I usually have about fifty bucks in play on any given weekend and play in only cash games (H2H, 50/50 and a couple multipliers), and I'm up on the season and my playing habits won't be impacted by this at all.

I haven't played him because I'm probably that guy in my league. I had no idea Arian Foster was injured, but still payed $25 for him on draft day.

The one dude in my league has scored in the bottom 3 in points yet is undefeated. And he has the lowest points against. It's sad for the rest of us.

Who set up the waiver system in the Big Points League? If you put in a waiver claim it holds it for over a week. I just put one in and it won't go thru until next Wednesday the 17th. That's just crazy

12 Team PPR, I'm being offered Delanie Walker and Alshon Jeffrey for Martellus Bennet and Golden Tate.

Should I take it, what do you think?

I was 110 one week and 52 the next - near the top in total points but 2-2 overall. Volatility of results will drive you nuts.

I just checked the settings, and it's set for 2 days... from the start of the first game on Sunday through early Wednesday morning.

I'll try to put in a claim and see what it says.

EDIT: Yeah, my claim says it will go through on the 10th.

Check the IE keeper league. I proposed a trade to you a while ago.

I just countered your offer, threw in an extra player on each side. I can't go one-for-one with my only consistent RB lol.

That's exactly why the league I'm in did away with Head-to-Head. The whole premise of our league is to score points. Finish in the top 6 scoring and you're in the playoffs. It's easily one of the deepest and most competitive leagues I'm in for this reason alone. You have to use your brain a lot more and it makes trades and waiver pickups that much more important to managing a team that consistently scores 105-110 points every week.

With that said, Head-to-Head is still used but to do side bets: "Loser buys lunch" type stuff.

Countered. Both of us net points from my counter. Pretty much best case scenario.

I was just about ready to sign up for Draftkings for this weekend. I might let this blow over first.

Am I the only one wondering what kind of "insider" Information there is that you can place a $2500 bet and win $350,000? Sign me up for that. Today if at all possible.

I'm not trading Randall Cobb. He's my only great receiver. What's your objection to the trade I offered? You aren't giving up a single player that starts for you normally and you are upgrading at QB plus getting a current top 20 player.

I'm getting Flex position depth and RB depth plus I can absorb Big Ben for now...

My season is absolutely finished in the IE keeper league. The Charles injury decimated me. I'll probably be looking to trade my remaining decent players for good keeper options very soon so heads up on that.
