I hope this kid turns out to be twice as good as even the most optimistic evaluations. This kid is thoughtful, articulate, and humble. Did you hear what he said about having to embrace coaching and correction, if you want to be great? This kid appears to be INCREDIBLY self aware and dedicated to being great. And probably not just in football.

May the good Lord bless you, Jerry Tillery, with all of the success (on and off the field) that one man can possibly handle!

Thanks for bumping that interview. I had not seen it.

Very cool to see him get some publicity. Looking at that list I'd also say that Sweat and Mack really look the part as well.

Figured I'd post since the process for him caused such a roller coaster on this site. Tillery continues to impress me with his perspective on things.

I'll never forget this recruitment.

I would have bet a wad of cash he wouldn't stick.

I should have bet you, because I always felt he was an ND lock. When he wanted to visit Father Ted on his visit, that told me he was Irish.

I also love the way Day has built a relationship with him.

I can remember the "Chocolate News" videos and it was obvious Big Lou had taken Sheldon under his wing, nice to see it passed on

That's great and all but...when are we changing the name of this thread to "Terry Jillery"?

I vote we change it back.

A) Cheap humor at the expense of one of our players;

2) I don't care if Sheldon Day says it and thinks it's funny; none of us are Sheldon Day! And . . .

III) It kind of bothers Jerry, not like he has never heard it before!

Got to meet Jerry and his father after the game Saturday. Very nice people, and a joy to talk to. I love that young men such as Jerry get the opportunity to represent this institution!

Anything from Bernie to Ben would have been fine with me but that rancid shirt. Nope.

He's young, he's got time to grow. Who knows, maybe he wanted a Feel the Bern shirt but Cankles is the only hopeful on the left making 4x shirts ?
