I think this ends up similar to the 2012 Oklahoma game. Just an all around ass kicking. This Clemson team is extremely overrated. They lost a ton on defense. Their top WR is injured. They also have injuries on what was already a shaky o-line.

BVG brings the heat and makes Watson look like the QB that's starting his 3rd game instead of Kizer. I think Watson sucks to begin with, but add pressure and I think you will see a turnover machine reminiscent of 2014 Golson.

ND leads from rail to rail, but gives up some garbage time points like usual.

35-20 ND

I like ND's line on offense for sure. But I got a feeling Dabo is going to cheat up in the box and make DK have to throw the ball. I think the Clemson DBs will be in man a lot so DK - and BK - need to take advantage of that when they can. Just take what they give you and move the chains.

Agreed, I'll def expect at least one deep hit to Fuller or someone from DK... if Clemson loads up I think CJ can break a couple big ones too, I can see NDs blocking getting off the line enough to render that stacked box useless and leave it to the safties to stop a TD run at least a couple times...

OL gels and starts getting push in the 2nd half. Kizer does just enough to keep us moving the chains.

Prosise learns what it's like to run against a tougher defense but still picks up occasional chunks.

Defense frustrates us to no end, then makes some great plays. Over. And over again.

I like CJ's chances in the open field past the second level of that Tiger defense. And Fuller should get his chances long... if the run game is clicking. Gonna be a good one for sure.

As long as Kizer doesn't commit a turnover early in the game ND wins going away. If he throws an interception and gets rattled, I will be very concerned.

For the record, I think Dabo has too much pride (still got Bama blood) and tries to start out straight up on defense. The first series he will bring the blitz on third and four and get the stop. The second series ND runs the ball and then hits Fuller or Jones a few times and Dabo realizes he can't go straight up and then tries to stack the box. BK realizes the shift by Dabo and then starts to utilize the slant and flat pass - to which DK surprises us with his accuracy - and then hands off to CJ for some good chunks of yardage. Clemson panics after being down 10-0 and Dabo starts tossing the ball all over the field like he is wonder boy LK. A pick later, and a Fuller over the top for a 17-0 lead and Dabo becomes Da-boo and the Irish hang on late for the win.

How about a Bama-Georgia prediction while we are on the subject of predictions. Living in Atlanta the hype will be over the top this week.

Whichever lousy QB has the best game will win. Flip a coin because they both suck. In all seriousness, I think Ga gets it done at home against my Tide in a game that could have been worse:

Ga 28-17.

The State of Alabama will be on suicide watch if this happens.

Both Auburn and 'Bama with two losses this early in the season - oh boy...

The Barners have already taken their flags down. After Saturday, the Gumps will have joined them.

I'll give you that there's not much time to figure out the QB situation,,, but I've seen Bama muscle through enough games riding the backs of the D.... #Faith (plus a little luck)

I got bama only because I find it damn near impossibe for Saban, with a legit roster, to lose 2 games in 3 weeks. I think he'll have a great plan that makes Georgia's QB win the game, which he wont.

All programs erode and ebb and flow... I wonder if we are starting to see it with the giants of the last decade in Oregon and Bama... we shall see.

I thought Bama would be a year away going in to this year. The defense is stacked but I had no confidence in the QB situation. If the reports out of fall practice is accurate, our buddy Barnett will probably take over next season. I think he is the QB of the future and we have enough players that I expect Bama to be back in the top five next season. Saban has one more in him before he rides off in the sunset. After that, who knows.

Oregon - hard to say. I am not sold on their coach. I think his hill to climb is much tougher as he doesn't have the players Saban does. And he never seems to have a defense. And that's where it starts.

I really only see us losing if we commit 2+ turnovers. We've been able to consistently move it pretty much all year, and I think we do so again. Just need Kizer to play solid and I think we can win this one. Any turnovers or giving Clemson a short field would be a killer on the road. IMO there are a lot more examples of BK getting the team up for big road games than there examples of us playing poorly. USC 2010, MSU 2012, OU 2012, USC 2012 were all big wins on the road. Even at FSU last year we played our best game of the season.

Is that drug-incident kicker back for this? If so will he be kicking or did someone win the job in the meantime?

Kizer can't face anymore pressure than what he did at UVA. He will be fine.

Irish come out and methodically open the game with a TD, followed by a FG. Clemson comes back to score a TD. First half ends 10-7 Irish. Second half Irish open with another TD to go up 17-7. Clemson adds a FG to make it 17-10. Irish add TD to stretch it to 24-10. Clemson adds TD to close to 24-17. Clemson adds a FG 24-20. Irish run out the clock to seal the win.

Beginning of the year I had this game as one of our losses. Now after seeing the team and watching the young guys step up, ND wins 31-27.

After the game everyone will say Clemson was overated...they drop in the polls...and our SOS looks weak.

This. I'm starting to think that one of these teams is going to completely collapse... not sure which but this just doesn't feel like a game where both teams come out strong.
