I'd be in if anyone ever put one together. This year is my first venture in to football on fanduel. Any pointers? You can do invite only, but everyone who wants to be in it has to give their user id and we need to know how many before we can even set it up, so it can be tricky.
I use the app all the time.
Has anyone done both Fan Duel and Draft Kings? I'm thinking about signing up for one or the other.
I joined Draft Kings the other day. I have done a couple of the MLB Challenges. Does anyone know why some of the players don't show up to draft for your team, even if they are active in the teams lineup for that day? That has been boggling to me.

So, anyone have any luck last week? I won a couple 50/50's, and that's it. Pretty pathetic weekend. This weekend actually looks easier though.
Someone on draft kings refer me, for free entry into 10mill contest for both of us. Tvk121@live.com
Edit: Dunno who but someone did it. Thx
for the lawyers....
legally, how is this fan duel/draft kings thing any different than betting on games (ie thru bookies); vegas sports book etc.
I know guys who run superbowl pools at bars who have gotten busted, small time bookies arrested for much less. also, is there a tax provision on winnings/losings on these sites?
I know Vegas hates it and they are trying to get it all shut down. But its pretty big this year and I read Draft Kings advertising budget has matched McDonalds, so they may have a good fight.
As for it being gambling, it is probably a different kind of betting. Just not a lawyer to give the proper legal answer.
I'm no lawyer, just a FD user. But you play against another person, or group of people and the money you win is what they put in the pot. In Vegas aren't you actually betting against the book itself?for the lawyers....

That's not it. The legal distinction is whether you're betting on teams versus whether you're betting on players. Betting on players exempts daily fantasy (and regular fantasy) from the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act of 2006.I'm no lawyer, just a FD user. Really having a tough time picking a line up for the early college games on FD. Any help out there? Anyone want to give me some insight on their picks?
I have no idea the legality of either of those. Closest I can think of is fantasy golf, which is definitely allowed. What's the difference between that and say... betting on boxing or MMA? Aren't you betting on "a player" in that as well?

Well, I took Brandon Maybefield because, although he's expensive, they are playign Tulsa and he runs and throws, so you get double yardage with quarterbacks like that.
At running back I have Fournette who is going off and I think Auburn's defense is weak.
My other back is Joel Buagnon fom Northern Illinois for two reasons, although they are playing Ohio State, they run the ball a LOT and I don't see that changing. And if Ohio State gets up big, he will probably get garbage yards and td's later in the game when Ohio State's second string is in and they don't care any more.
At WR, I have Fuller becuase I don't think GT stops the pass and that is where Kizer will look all day, wouldn't you?
Keevan Lucas - putting up big numbers and Tulsa will need to pass the ball
Penny HArt, this week's diamond in the rough. Believe it or not Georgia State has been putting up huge passing numbers and Oregon has no great defense. Plus Georgia State will probably also need to pass to stay in the game.
For tight end, to fit those guys in, I went cheap with Jake Butt because he's at least shown some consistency so far.
Other players I considered:
qb - Brandon Doughty WKU, Indaian pass defense is 122nd in country
Tommy Armstrong, always gets his numbers because he runs and passes.
Justin Thomas, love my Irish but he is also still going to get his numbers.
RB - Samaje Perine and Ezekiel Elliot, both expensive playing weak defenses.
Terrell Newby, gets a lot of carries and receptions and Miami will give up yards.
Mark Walton, Miami puts up good numbers and NEbraska defense not stellar
Skov, Irish having trouble stopping the fullback on a triple option
WR - Sterling Shepard...Tulsa thing again
Braxton Miller, same Ohio State reasons as above
Keyarris Garrett, again, Tulsa needs to pass to hang in there. They pass a lot.
Tajee Sharpe, Temple are no giant killers.
Christian Kirk, top option for a Tex a&m offense playing a Nevada team.
Geronimo Allison, gets a lot of looks in the Illinois offense.
Marken Michel, cheap, gets his yards and is playing Temple.
TE - Man, just pick one with decent history who fits in your salary cap.
Hope it helps.
Love the input I picked my lineup and will share the results of it after Saturday! Good luck!

One stipulation is that prizes have to be predetermined and can't fluctuate based on betting activity. Thus, anything with a moneyline or point spread is automatically out.
