Certainly doesn't hurt with Stanford looking like crap because it's between them, Georgia and us....with education being huge and great season the stars align

Is pulling him out of GA with UGA showing legit interest really very likely? Seems they usually get their guy.

With him attending Savannah Country Day I feel like this is a very realistic pull for ND.

Per247.....game atmosphere was electric, unreal etc....loved getting to meet golden tate and having fuller host him....fuller said they want him to right in and replace fuller when he leaves....fuller said he needs to come here... They love him as wr but also on def and they will kind of let him decide

Sergeant s presentation was also something he thoroughly enjoyed and talked that up a bit....that dude sergeant deserves some kudos aswell dude is mentioned a lot by recruits

so does that mean we are pitching RB?

I have only seen the few minutes of film posted here, but this kid needs to play offense. He is electric!

BVG vs. CBK

Tables / Ladders / Chair Match for the right to use him on their side of the ball.

I just don't see him going to Stanford. We'll have to see how into Georgia he is. Lots of pressure for SEC country to stay SEC.

If two of the three schools he's interested in are high on academics, he's not your typical SEC kid and doesn't listen to the Pied Piper.

“Coach Kelly was just telling me about the football program and the school as a whole,” said Robertson. “He was telling me I could come in and play right away if I do my thing. They really love me on the offensive side of the ball and maybe even playing on the defensive side of the ball. They said it’s up to me, but he thinks I could be great in his offense.”

Is it weird that I look at the offers Stanford have given and see if we have a shot with any of them? I figure with how academics have gone the past few years Stanford is a nice threshold to look at non-risky players.

My money would be on BVG in that setting. I expect BVG would rip off his shirt ala Hogan and start flexing prior to the match.

Thanks for the info. But does taken back? Does that mean "pleasantly surprised" or "caught unprepared" or something else, altogether?

I would assume "pleasantly surprised" is your closest guess. I think it's just saying even the staff was surprised at how much he was into and enjoying his visit.

~ Coach Kelly - "Oh wow, you're serious? You might really want to come here. We're used to recruiting under the radar guys, like William Fuller no. 127 WR per ESPN. Not used to having legit interest from a bonafide 5 star. Where would you like to play young man?"

Even if we don't get him, sounds like he's at least doing his due diligence in this decision. That's all we can really ask for a guy whose raised in the throes of SEC country.

I take it as maybe even the staff didn't realize how much of a chance they have with him. I am sure the staff has a pretty good temperature on most of these kids when they bring them in for visits, and in some cases they understand the odds are against them but hope that getting the kid on campus and having a chance to sell the school and the football program can increase their chances...in this instance it seems like they brought him (I have no clue where they thought they realistically stood with him pre-visit), and he kind of surprised them with the level of interest he seems to really have.
Any way you spin it, it's a good thing.

loy with cb

told him we LEAD right now

we separated ourselves from stanford per a source due to
letting him know he is like fuller at wr or redfield playing safety..just an unreal athlete who could play either
loves the coaches, feels comfortable and has great relationships
presentation of academics blew him away--sargeant as i have mentioned earlier
location and how our schedule keeps us down in the south for acc games
Georgia seems to be our biggest threat ALTHOUGH stanford and bama still there

I really like Loy but I take him with a grain of salt. I'm pretty sure he put in a crystal ball for me to Notre Dame once. I will give him credit though, he works his tail off.

Savannah, GA. is not a hot bed for high school sports unlike most of the rest of the state. So there really isn't an allegiance to any particular school there. Last big name athlete I can remember is Pervis Ellison, Louisville basketball star. I don't think Robertson would have any allegiance to any SEC or ACC school coming from Savannah. Also a very historic Irish settlement city that has one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the country. Not that that as anything to do with his recruitment but I can see ND being the type of school that would be appealing to him.

Yeah, Loy is a little bit of a homer, but he takes care of the fanbase for sure.
