Bruton, Walls, B Jackson, and H Smith haven't shown enough success?

Bruton wasn't under Kelly and Walls went undrafted. The other two fair enough, you did leave out Robert Blanton though. I think we're going to have a stream of good CB talent going into the NFL in the next few years.

KVR will make sure the ND secondary gets good publicity, both with his play and his mouth, lol. I can't wait. He's going to be very fun to watch. He don't give a F^$k

I see the non-natural receiver as well. But if he is so dynamic with the ball in his hand you have no choice then O it is. But athleticism like this, when it comes to position, u say who gives a fuck.

Let's hope this sister scholarship thing isn't the bottom line to his destination. That Doesn't end well for us IMO.

I agree that KVR will be good for ND but let's see him perform on the field before we anoint him the chosen1.

Hopefully KVR plays really well this year and shows secondary prospects that you can succeed at ND.

Is that somehow in doubt? I think between KVR, Redfield, Luke and Shumate we've got four who are heading to League on our roster right now. Smith, Blanton, Bennett Jackson. Our secondary guys do OK.

Unless you're an ND fan you have no idea where they are from, Harrison is the only one that is recognisable by the casual fan...and I know he is good but many don't know him

OK. But, really, how many NFL defensive backs are "know where they went to college"-level household names? And you don't think our staff will let this kid know we have seven alums playing DB on NFL rosters right now? With at least four more heading that way?
Really not sure what the issue is here.

Might be a good thing for the vikings. He probably deserves to be the highest paid safety in the league after this upcoming season.

Earl Thomas and Chancellor would have an issue with this! Love Harrison though but don't see him as the highest paid safety

PFF had Harrison better than both for last season.
players on bad teams don't get recognition that they deserve because the hype from the media just isn't there especially if you don't have a big/oversized personality.

Hell just look at his current and fellow teammate Kyle Rudolph, IMO he's an elite TE that doesn't get to take advantage of his abilities because he hasn't had quality QB play nor a system that takes advantage of the TE mismatch.

Switch him and Gronk and Rudolph would be putting up monster numbers and Gronk would just be a great TE wasting away in an Offense that won't take advantage of his abilities making him look a lot less talented than he actually is.

The point being is that there is a lot of great talent out there that doesn't get the credit do to the fact that they are on losing teams or aren't surrounded by other great talent to show how good they really are.

That's good and all but not many gm's would take Harrison over earl or chancellor just being honest
That very well may be the case and most likely is but if Harrison has done what he's done on a team like the Seahawks his profile would be that of one of best safeties rather than the good safety that the Vikings has.

But it's time to get this thread back on track and actually have it about Demetris Robertson.

Interestingly enough he'll be the first 5 star to OV to ND since Q. Nelson, Bo Scarborough and Juju Smith were in town for the USC game in 2013.

Stars don't matter. Look at how those guys are doing. FYI - I think Scarborough is going to be a monster if he stays in school.

Per 247. During pregame, Kraemer, Eichenberg, Boudreaux and Gibbons all approached Robertson, said hello and made their own pitch to him. He was all smiles and gave each a hug. Kraemer also pulled him aside and talked to him one on one. The coaching staff wants a December return and per a source, it's already been discussed.

so does that mean we are pitching RB?

I have only seen the few minutes of film posted here, but this kid needs to play offense. He is electric!

Make this happen. Just make it be true. Could fill any number of roles on our team.

Personally, I'd love to see him on defense but he could be a game changer from any position. Sign him up, figure it out later.
