Kind of a waste to talk about '17's this early in the era of the decommit, but I am most impressed with his willingness to throw big blocks.

Plays in a great program, he's gonna be a stud.

Though definitely still a tOSU lean one thing that hasn't been mentioned here is Grimes moved to S. Florida at the start of high school from Indianapolis.

Would love to see ND be in the running for more guys out of Aquinas like Sam Young 10 years ago. Ten years ago, wow.

I know, I meant "like Sam Young" meaning 5 Star, #1 at his position.

Like Bosa was this year, Like Grimes is for '17.

Tony Alford, again. Why didn't ND retain that guy? .....He wanted too much $$$$? .....He wanted Asst. Head Coach title?

I think ND should have backed up the brinks truck for that guy.

Denson did just fine recruiting for year 1. You can also make the argument Denson is a better position coach.

And I think he wanted assistant HC or something. Idk?

I thought the same way at the time TDHey but money wasn't the long term solution for what he wanted. Autry Denson is going to rake down in FL. I mean, he got 7 this year.

I think IMG is going to bear a lot of fruit in the near future. Having a head coach from Indiana at IMG inKevin Wright down there is such a plus. They are going to be in on 6-8 guys there this year.

In Grimes you have a kid who grew up an OSU fan, the star of this year's team is a Bosa which was an OSU lock and Chris Carter is associated with the program and he obviously is going to steer guys to OSU when given the chance.

Yea, Denson was a baller for his first cycle at a big time program. I expect it to only get better for him.

“I talk with the [Notre Dame] coaches on Twitter,” Grimes said. “I’m going back to [Indianapolis] — my hometown — next month, and once I go up there I’m thinking about going and visiting Notre Dame and the campus.”

"Ohio State is still out in front right now, but there are some other schools in the running,"

"Notre Dame is one of my hometown schools, so I want to get back there and see what they can offer me and if I can play there," Grimes said. "I'm looking for an offense that wants to throw the ball and they do that."

He's from ~20 hours away and is visiting Indy. If he doesn't make time to visit ND when visiting Indy, I'll personally write this one off. I'm edgy about recruiting today.

You've got this one backwards Koon. You shouldn't have ever written him in. He has done nothing but love on OSU in the media so until he gets to South Bend he remains unwritten.

...but the stuff Panda shared is at least encouraging.

Hands down the dumbest thing I've ever watched with Parker's and pretty much all Bleacher Report commitment videos

But damn OSU share some wealth

agree. very stupid.

OSU class is very sick. On paper. Not sure I buy Martell or Lindsey hype though. Martell is legitimately 5'10 and Lindsey is 5'8 on a good day. Size is an issue when transitioning to the next level for QB and WR. Not saying they both can't be productive players, but 5* ish players? I don't see that for either of them. Watch them both be studs now bc I wrote this as some kind of cosmic internet shit-talk backfire.

Grimes and the others are another story. They good. Especially Grimes. Got the right measurables too. 6'3, 190ish can run sub 4.5. Good length, good hands. Will only get better.

Grimes can become a 1st Team AA at OSU and you should still be arrested for comparing the two. Randy Moss is not of this world.

LOL

His measurable are comparable. Tall, rangy, fast, and with great hands.

You are correct though...Moss is not human

No, they aren't really. A sub 4.5 is nice but sub 4.3's are another planet.

I'm not trying to be a smartazz but Moss ran real 4.2's. The difference in their 40 times is probably a 10 ft gap. It's like comparing Will Fuller to the DB's on ND's schedule last year. It's all about tail lights and rear view mirrors.
