Anyone know what his competition is like? Definitely looks like a stud, playing LB, running back and even returning kick offs. I'm not sure if it is the camera in the highlight video, but it seems to me that he is not 6'-2", maybe 6'. Looks mean though, gotta have that for a MLB.

Young man has a nose for the football. Would love to be a consideration but it looks like he'll have his pick of the litter.

According to MaxPreps, Vidalia is a 2A school and Georgia goes up to 6A. They only lost 1 game and made it to the State semifinals. MaxPreps listed them as the #58 overall team in t.he state at the end of the season

Kid can hit. His competition definitely looks suspect, I've never seen a 6 foot 2 inch kid look like the tallest player on the field before.

Pretty impressive offer list. Plus, he evidently ran a 10.6 100m at the Georgia Olympics. Good grief.

Lol at that first clip in his highlight video. After all that I was expecting him to shoulder bump his coach, the fans in the stands, his parents after the game, the checkout guy at the supermarket and so on

Not too concerned about competition or actual height here. This kid has a pinch of grit sprinkled with a little athleticism to go along with a stellar offer list. Kid just looks the part of a football player.

Too early to tell for him personally, but does anyone know the demographic in his area/school as a whole? As in, is this place typically friendly towards ND or are they haters? I feel the South has a hot/cold relationship w/ ND in a lot of areas.

Anybody know anything about the kid? Are we a realistic spot for him? Any interviews?

just for reference..when he was at the rivals camp in Baltimore in June..he was the ONLY underclassman to make the list of top linebackers...he ranked #3 which was ahead of Bush, Hayes,Kelly, Yulee

Visit will "definitely" happen for Oct 17 or possibly even Sept. 5.

Said ND will probably be in top three or five after a visit

small school, good comp relative compared to most state's 2As.

GA has Olympics? Holy cow that's fast for

He's been to several UGA camps I think.

At first I saw he was reported to have run a 10.63 in 38 degree weather and I was like that sounds like a 10lb bluegill. (still does) Then I looked up the state track finals on the Atlanta JC and he ran a 10.71 for a third place finish in 2A state finals. That is haulin mail but REALLY haulin when you weigh 50-60lbs more than the guys you are running against.

Of note, he finished just behind 4 star Auburn WR recruit Darius Slayton who ran a 10.67 and his time would have won the 1A, 3A and 4A classes.

He also ran a 21.69 200 to finish 2nd behind Slayton. That time would have won 4A too.

Pull out the superlatives, this kid is a freak.

I hope this kid is an Irish McBride.

That is straight up ridiculous times for a guy his size. It appears the Irish is in the hunt for him as well. Will be a strong pickup for you guys if you can get him.

From Trent Smallwood - Ga Recruiting Analyst:

4) Nate McBride named Alabama his leader on Friday, then Georgia evened the score on Saturday. This one is going to go down to the wire, and I don't see another team adding to the mix for the five-star. It will be a Alabama/Georgia battle for the next 19-monhts. To add to that, Georgia is a big time Vidalia community.

I say we don't pursue hard, but is McBride a talent that we would tell off if he wanted to commit?

Be awesome to just get him on campus. Love how hard we have been hitting Georgia lately. Might not land many but getting our foot in the door and devolving relationships
