We also offered this kid, I'm flaking on his recruitment right now...I don't think he ever visited or anything, but I know we had interest at one point.

Sorry I had my '15 FSU QB commit "D-Andres" mixed up... it was Deondre Francois NOT De'Andre Johnson that we told not to visit during the post-Barnett scramble.

We didn't pursue De'Andre Johnson at all.

It looks like he got mad because ppl didn't make room for him at the bar top so he can promptly order a drink. I mean, don't these ppl know who he is!? Don't they know he plays for the football team!? Just another self entitled loser...

She might have thrown first punch... but he grabs her first. She's literally trying to get him off of her.

Per witnesses, what happened was (and it's sad because of course there is no audio in a loud-as-hell bar so we can't hear for ourselves) he started pushing past her and she said something to him, he got mad at her mouthing off and grabbed her, she tried to get free and kneed him in the chest (hard to see on video) and then swatted at him... and then we all see him step back, load up, and destroy her face with a right cross.

She squeezes in before him and then leans over and says something in his ear. He keeps pushing to the bar until she pushes him off and cocks her right hand. He then grabs her right hand and as if to stop her from punching him and she subsequently freaks out, knees him and swings away. Up until that point what HE did was justified because she was absolutely the aggressor.

But once you make the fatal mistake of punching a girl it is all over. He was not in nearly enough danger to warrant that. Cover up and walk away... This moron just learned this lesson the hard way.

Stupid behavior by both individuals. It's impossible to really defend his actions but these women in some of these situations deserve part of the blame (don't believe they deserve being hit).

This wasn't a case of some sweet June Cleaver type housewife getting beaten for burning dinner. If you want to "act like a man" by throwing punches don't be surprised when someone punches back. Either way, I would be disgusted if this was my son/daughter.

1. Crowded bar, she gets in front of him to order a drink.
2. Johnson, who is not 21 FWIW, keeps muscling his way up to the front.
3. The victim takes exception to him pushing her into the bar... and they exchange words. He is the first to initiate physical contact.
4. She raises her arms and he grabs her forcefully.
5. She tells him to let go, he doesn't.
6. She tries to push him off as he won't let go of her, including using her knee/leg to try to push him off.
7. She gets one arm free and swings at him while he is still grabbing her.
8. He hits her in the face and runs away.

Where, in that series of events, is the woman possibly the aggressor unless you think she "had it coming" for complaining about him pushing her into the bar? Which I sure hope no one on this board thinks a woman deserves to get assaulted for speaking up.

The real crime here is that he hit her full on, with what amounts to a sucker punch, since there was absolutely no defense on her part, and he couldn't put a girl down! He better hope that he gets booted from the team and has to transfer, because you know he is never going to hear the end of it in the locker room, "Your best shot couldn't even put a GIRL down! I don't care if she is the aggressor,... We've had this convo as a board before... A man absolutely has the right to defend himself when necessary,... But,... Nothing, at all, in that video warranted any serious reaction on his part aside from a war of words at most... And even if she was the aggressor he was clearly never in any danger... Kid is a complete d bag.

Both are idiots. Alcohol is a hell of a drug. He should know better than to clock her. My friends mom used to snot rocket on my friend instead of hitting him, it was disgusting but effective. Perhaps more guys should resort to the snot rocket instead of straight clocking a female.

She didn't "raise her arms", she raised a fist to him, very clearly. And she held that fist even as he grabbed her right arm to prevent her from using it. How is she NOT the agressor? She raised a fist first, she threw the first punch.......... Again, if this would have been some 98lb skinny geeky boy, there would be no doubt that he got what he asked for.

What it looks like to me: they both are trying to make their way to the bar, she gets to the bar first but he sees a space behind a girl who is just standing in front of the bar like an ass, he asks her to move, she tries but hardly moves, he decides to squeeze between the two girls, girl at the bar gets upset at him for forcing her into the bar, turns, and says some words to him with her fist raised and other hand on him, he grabs her wrists to prevent her from swinging, she struggles to get free but when she does she swings at him, he then smacks the hell out of her. Yes, I do think it was actual an open palm hit. His hand is open after contact with her face.

Do I think he's total a dumbass and dick for swinging at her? Yes, but from watching that video, it does look to me like she was the aggressor.

And that being said, me saying "what it looks like to me" is far from me saying "this is totally what happened" so no need to tell me that police and witness reports disagree with me. Besides, who are the witnesses? Nobody was paying any damn attention apparently except another girl who comes to assist the girl who just got hit.

PS - To say his hands were on her before she raises her fist is just wrong. You can clearly see his right and then his left hand on the bar trying to get in and she turns and raises her fist.
