There is one thing that I will NEVER do as an Irish fan...and that is trust Mike Brey in March. I would agree with you that a second round exit is probably the best that we can hope for right now.

Best we can hope for? Ummm. Look I have no faith in Mike Brey in March either, but this team is probably the best and most complete team he has ever had. Jerian Grant can take over a game. While this team shoots the 3 quite well and relies on it a bit, it is not nearly as much as past teams as this the most athletic team Brey has ever had. I am hoping for at least the Sweet 16. Anything less than that is a failure. Anything after the sweet 16 is just a bonus.

Well earned accolades. I think his shot wasn't feeling right most of the weekend yet still incredibly effective and invaluable with the ball in his hands.

Hope the team sticks with attacking the rim like we did last two games.

ShowTime just released a 90 minute special on ND's and Maryland's bball programs. Anyone have any idea how to watch this if you don't have showtime?

USA today has us 8.

I think 13 makes more sense. Depends on how much progress bonzie and beachum can make on the offseason. I can see beachum making a big stride this off season with more workouts and more playing time.

6'8" 3 point shooter is gonna stretch any defense out. Gotta get stronger to get those tough rebounds tho.

I think we'll be a top 25 team. It just depends if Jackson can be a leader, sucks to lose Pat and Jerian but Vasturia really came on towards the end the season. I think our young guys will progress enough to have a solid team, not to mention we have a pretty favorable schedule

The starting 5 will be a top 25 team, but who will come in off the bench? Really worried about depth. I hope Brey can bring in a decent transfer that can either start or can contribute in the rotation

I actually think we will have a good bench. Geben is gonna be a good weapon. And dont be surprised if the 3 freshman get some playing time. Rex is definatly gonna play same with matt. Elijiah might need another year. Then you got torres who will see playing time. It will be interesting to see if burgett can come back and have a nice off season and work on things. He can be a player too

So according to that they have the ACC as so:

1: Virginia
2: North Carolina
3: Duke
4: Notre Dame
5: North Carolina State
6: Louisville

Perfectly fine with me. I think that's honestly a pretty good guess too. If that Cleveland State transfer opts for Ohio State over Louisville they're going to take a big step back.

Ill take 4th place. I think duke will take a bit of a hit with all the players their gonna lose but im sure they will reload. Virginia is returning everyone so thats that. And so is North carolina so those 2 at the top is probably how its gonna end up being

I think he will be. He showed it at times throughout the year. I think he just deferred to Grant most of the time.

Not really a surprise but Demetrius Jackson said he will be back for his junior year.
Big news for us but was expected

Prister just tweeted that, trying to show Brey w/ the ACC trophy in the background.

I'm thinkin, maybe try to get a better picture of Brey, ya know?

Team MVPs: Connaughton and Grant
Outstanding Playmaker: Jackson
Most Improved: Auguste
Defensive POY: Vasturia
Newcomer of the Year: Colson
Student-Athlete Award: Connaughton

IRISH EXTRA: 2014-15 Success Leaves Mike Brey's Group Hungry for More - UND.COM - University of Notre Dame Official Athletic Site

This piece has some great quotes by the players who are returning about the leadership of Connaughton and Grant and how they are excited to return and lead. It is hard not to be excited about next year. Auguste played so great for us in March and I think he is really ready to shine. We have so many great pieces. The future for the basketball program is bright.

Couple of CBs have come in recently for Gibbs. Would be a huge get.

I hoping the CBs are for us right? Would be a great start to the class if we were to get him. We're in the top 8 for tyrus battle but no way we get him
