They're looking for a system that utilizes the TE regularly and a few of the schools he's looking at early haven't proven that (A&M/Baylor). With the ND visit and watching practice he realized that 1-2 TE's were in on every single play which works in our favor.

Who is recruiting Texas this year? Is it Sanford with Lyght working that area a little as well?

247 put him as the #1 TE in the class of '17, #58 overall with a .9771 Comp rating and 4 stars.

Looks like he's put on some weight. 6-4.5 at 243lbs.

Neither Baylor or A&M come close to utilizing their TE's like ND. Smart kid.

A&M insider

2017 Cy-Fair tight end Brock Wright is ranked No. 1 at his position for a reason. He's a quiet kid that does not give away too much but Notre Dame is the school that has made the biggest impression on him so far. He really likes the way they utilize the tight end, including multiple tight end sets.

seems like the staff has made a sizably bigger impact recruiting 2017 kids than 2016 kids.......interesting

Hope we are able to get him, looks like the real McCoy. It's obvious he'll have lot of choices.
Cy-Fair is one of those Houston area schools that has tons of talent. Wish Irish could schedule a Shamrock game down there.

Nothing to bump, ND is the clear team to beat and the family couldn't be more on board

Agreed. Koyack did have some very fine moments but we need to re-intergrate the pass catching TE as a consistent, viable threat. I think last year was an aberration and this year, MZ will utilize the position more.

And Alize and Brock are perfect compliments at Tight End!
Luatua can be utilized as an H-back, with any of the tall Wide outs and a speedster like Prosise, Hunter Jr, or Saunders, let alone the Willmaster; "Forget about it!"
