T Town carried himself well and we gave him as much respect as we could. But to debate the differences between Notre Dame/Stanford/Northwestern/Duke/ etc with the way things are done in the 'minor league pro football programs' of college football will cause friction and exhaustion. They aren't changing and Notre Dame isn't turning pro. Keep college in college and let these people from other sites go unless they want to debate the issue in the correct manner----not wins and losses. Yeh, Notre Dame wants to win and compete for No#1 but not at the cost of what is happening to these schools who play a different game. I once was the guy saying bring 'em in and have them at Notre Dame for football only-not anymore-save the embarrassment and hypocrisy.

Actually spoke with my buddy bishop a week or so ago and told him I was a little disappointed in myself for making a few posts to clear up some inaccuracies I saw. With that, you are correct. It was disingenuous on my part and I apologize. Thanks to all those who encouraged me to post again but I really do think maybe it is time to move on for good. Sometimes the bad ones really do outweigh the good ones here and it really isn't worth it to me anymore. If by "checking in from time to time" compels me to post, then maybe not checking in at all is the way to go. Good luck this fall... I think your Irish will be in the hunt for a potential playoff bid.

Considering that he had a great deal of support for staying by members of the site, and his feelings at the time were accurate, I don't see how it was disingenuous at all.
He never claimed that his opinions in his original post weren't really his feelings at the time. So he wasn't being disingenuous with his thoughts. He simply listened to his friends and reconsidered. Hell... he even apologized (which wasn't needed at all). So I guess I don't get the reasoning behind bumping a month old thread to point him out.
If anything... I would say that bumping his thread in efforts to embarrass him, while saying you "respect his ongoing contributions", is disingenuous...

That kind of sucks, sorry to hear that. I hate to see any contributing posters go, regardless of fan affiliation (Unless they're a troll, which you haven't been). Don't take what IrishLion said to heart, I'm sure most of us feel differently. It's hard to completely walk away when you've invested a lot of time and contributions to a community. There have been a number of times I've wanted to walk away from BuckeyePlanet because of a few pricks, but ultimately I've decided not to let them get the better of me and I try to buck their Irish stereotypes. It was nice to see you posting again lately, but if you do decide to move on for good it's understandable. I still think it's refreshing to have opposing fans on a site as they bring an entirely different viewpoint and opinion that adds to discussions, but obviously others don't always feel that way.
