Since it's been bumped, I thought he was playing in the SF bowl?

Yep, why not in the pic with the other guys. He's listed on the roster.

Edit - not on the same team as the others. Bo is on the East, all the others on the West.

Ah I see. Looks like we've got some coastal beef between the commits.

He's a kid that probably takes two years of S&C before contributing but after that I agree. I imagine his length and quickness in the 240 range and its easy to get excited.

I can see him contributing in 2015 and def in 2016 in pass rush packages.

I have to disagree with quite a lot of vigor, especially in 2015. I see very few scenarios where he beats out J. Williams, K. Hill, Trumbetti, Okwara, Blankenship, etc. for snaps at all next year. I think his upside is very good but he is extremely light right now. In 2016 I can see him getting snaps but he'll still have the same problem which is a slew of guys in front of him. All of which have similar measureables but will be much further along in development.

I am not disagreeing here but do we have any indication as to how much Williams has bulked up? I honestly can't recall hearing too much about him so far regarding development.

Loy still had him at 215 in his Semper Fi game article. Not sure if they do a weigh in like some other games.

I don't know what he's currently at but he was bigger than Bo coming out of HS. UND.com has him at 6'4 252.

Johnny Williams was maybe 6'5 225 out of high school an obvious red shirt and about the same measurables as Bo out of high school. Bo has more skill development because of high school than Williams had.

I personally don't view 10lbs. as negligible as it is usually an entire offseason to gain 10lbs. If you follow, annually, the top weight gainers for Notre Dame Football. The highest weight gainers are generally around the 10ish lb. mark.

Ok probably right about 2015. but, the team needs pass rush specialist and we currently don't have any. I'm going to say he will be in pass rush packages in 2016.

It depends on the kid and the frame.

With that kind of frame though where he is that Wiry It should not take that long for him to get to 240 or 250. He will probably be at 240 by his redshirt freshman year and at 250 by his redshirt sophomore/junior year. Again it all depends on work ethic. Also it will take longer since he is not at school until the summer as well.

Precisely, I think you just proved my point. In 1 1/2 years he'll be at a weight that he'll be able to see the field. In 2 1/2 years he'll be at the same weight as Jhonny Williams, Trumbetti, Blankenship, etc. currently are.

i don't see him playing next season, great upside but is lacking size and strength.

Come 2016 I think he plays in spurts with certain obvious pass plays.

2017 the size, strength and understanding should be there for him to ready to challenge for a starting DE spot.

Yeah, it would be a bad sign of our DL development if Bo saw the field in his first year.

But who knows. You never know with this team.

Yeah, unless he has some freakish pass rushing skills, I'm hoping ND is deep enough that he gets a year to add weight.

Watching the state championship on FOX SW right now, and Wallace looks pretty good. Able to get to the edge and take down the RB on a run off tackle.

Were there whispers of him looking around? Hadn't even heard of anything w/ him in regards to other schools pushing for him and/or him listening/looking.

He had tweeted this:

M. Williams had a similar tweet the other day about being solid to ND and I had the same reaction. Well, and some "I SWEAR TO GOD IF ANY TEAM TRIES TO SWIPE OUR ONLY FREAKING SAFETY COMMIT"

It's always weird when you see a tweet like that with no context or no rumors of them being anything but solid.

Maybe he was hit up by another school?

His statement is just a pre-emptive strike. Before any rumor starts and this forum goes crazy, Bo issues his statement declaring he is a man of his word. I gotta love the integrity expressed in his words. He will do Notre Dame proud.

I'm sure there is a TON of local pressure - friends, coaches, family, etc - things we or the recruiting services may not be privy to. We're looking at this nationally since ND has a national footprint. This kid is still in high school. For all we know 4 or 5 classmates bugging them to go here or there may be all that these tweets are referring to. My guess is they would be much ado about nothing.
