If you like 40 degrees and rain.
Would you rather it be 18 and cloudy like last weekend?

Yes there is literally nothing worse than cold rain.
Biggins: Thinks ND/USC are the top 2. He will be at the USC/ND game the following week as well.
If it's in the 40s, it's not that cold.
I can tolerate a lot of cold and am used to 0 degree weather, but the weather was miserable in the stadium last week. I'd have gladly traded it for 43 and rain.
Ykili Ross is one of the nation's most dynamic athletes with the ability to play corner, receiver or safety in college. He has had a tremendous year on both sides of the ball and solidified his status as one of the best all around players in the region.
This past weekend, Ross took an official visit to Notre Dame and gave the trip very high marks.
"I loved it there and the overall atmosphere was incredible," Ross said. "It was rally a surreal feeling being there and through the rain and the snow and the game not going the way they wanted, the fans all stayed until the end and never stopped cheering. I got there right when the game started so I didn't get to go in to the locker room before the game but just being out there all weekend, you can really feel the tradition.
"The whole team and everyone I met was really welcoming to me and made me feel like I was part of the family. I was in the locker room after the game and even though a lot of people were obviously pretty down, they still took me in and embraced me. The coaches were great and I got to spend a lot of time with Coach Cooks, the DB coach. They want me for corner and I'm good with that. Coach Kelly was a real cool dude too, it was nice to talk to him away from the field and see what a great guy he really is."
Ross said he knew several players on the team prior to the visit, including his host, Max Redfield.
"Max is a great dude, that's my guy right there," Ross said. "He was a USC commit for a while and that's one of my top schools so we talked about his decision and why he made it. He said he has no regrets and really loves it there. He told me you have to make the decision that's best for you, it has to be a business decision and that's how I'm looking at is as well.
"Overall, the trip really exceeded my expectations and I came in with pretty high expectations to begin with. I expected it to be great but it was even better than that. The only downside was probably the weather, it was 30 degrees the whole time there but I really loved the place and that's not going to be a factor in my decision. I'm going to pick the best fit for me short and long term and I'll make that decision January 3 at the Army AA Game."
Prior to his decision, Ross said he plans to take a few more trips.
"This weekend I'll be at USC for the Notre Dame game," Ross said. "It's not an official visit or anything, I'm just going to the game but it will be cool to watch two of my top teams go at it. I have a visit set with Oklahoma for (Dec. 6) and USC will be (Dec. 12). I want to visit Oregon too and my last visit will likely be to Ohio State.
"Honestly, right now, I'm still open to all of these teams. I know a lot of people think I'm a big USC lean but I'm really giving every team a fair shot and I haven't made any decisions yet. That's what the trips are for and why I want to take all five. Right now, my main focus is on my team and we have a big CIF semi-final game this weekend. We have a great shot to win this whole thing and hopefully we can get it done this Friday."
Encouraging news.
2 fold and on redfield as i was wondering how the benching may have him second guessing...really helps i would think having a friend there...very good news
I noticed that too. Breath of relief.
On another note, Ross is saying the staff wants him at corner. Seems to me you'd try him out at safety first since that's where the struggles seem to keep coming from. KVR and Luke will have the two corners spots locked up next year. With Butler playing well and Watkins in the wings, it seems the two-deep could be solid already. Just my opinion.

Tj's response in reference to the beat down we took in LA and whether or not that will impact his recruitment.
Pretty sure that's a safe bet now for the kid himself, who previously liked ND a lot. His dad always was pushing SC -- strongly.
Shame.
I don't know, I've always thought we were #2 anyway. If the loss to USC effects his decision, then I'm not sure he sees the big picture.
I agree with this. If one game dictates a kids future they really don't see the value of ND.
It's why we always shop in a different aisle

We go through this every recruiting cycle....same story and same ending.
We have about a 15% chance. But only a 10% chance of that
Some of that really did look like 5 star film...![]()
Yes, yes it did.
Per Loy, Elliot met with Ross and his family for an in-home visit on Tuesday. The visit went "great" according to Ross. Main topics were the educational opportunities and the chance for early playing time. BK, BVG, Cooks, and Elliot have an in-home visit scheduled for the week prior to NSD. Which will be after his announcement on January 3rd.
