Haha I'll get to it someday. Like I said, I really like Leslie Nielsen's comedies so I'm sure I'll like it. I'm ashamed that I've let you all down haha.

As far as deeb, I would say Greer took more minutes away than Morgan.

Reps, sir!

Martini has size, speed, and a football IQ pretty close to Joe Schmidt's. He flat outran Navy skilled players regularly. Granted they were Navy, but for a guy that big, and that smart; it is incredible.

I would be afraid of Nyles Morgan. Right now, if I were an opponent or a coach. Hopefully, he will figure out where he is supposed to be sooner than later. And if he ever learns how not to over pursue, he will be deadly! Between Smith, Onwualu, Martini, and Morgan, there is serious AA potential. That is why Schmidt works in so well with any of them.

I hope Schmidt is okay, but I think VanGorder has the pieces. We will find out against AZ STATE because I have a feeling Onwualu, and Schmidt will both be out! At least we will run a 4-2-5 most of the time!

Airplane was made way before I was born, too. So were Rocky, Slap Shot, The Godfather movies, Blazing Sadles.....there is literally no excuse for never having seen Airplane. You appear to have the internet.....

FVCK VOU!

That is all.

... there is literally no excuse for never having seen Airplane.

But is there a figuratively or allegorically or metaphysically acceptable excuse???

Maybe philosophically or theologically.

I'd say irishff1014 has suffered enough ... derisionally.

Glad to see Morgan out there. Love Joe's effort but Nyles is going to be a beast. Next year we will have both plus Jaylon. That should be something to see.

I did not watch the ASU game. How did Nyles do at Mike? I was worried about his pass coverage.

Nyles dad 10 tackles, 3 solos, 0.5 TFL, and 1 QBH. Second week in a row with double digit tackles. No ND player had done that this season before the past two games.

Also got ejected in the second half for targeting and will sit out the first half against USC per NCAA rules.

I'd be curious where these tackles took place? Sure as hell wasn't in the backfield.

Thanks, that helps...smh. I really don't need to read that to know.

Sorry, I took your previous post with the question mark as not knowing. My bad.

On Louisville's Rushing TD where they brought in a heavy set and ran off tackle to the left, the ND defense seemed really confused pre snap, trying to shuffle to the right. Not 100% sure but the LB's (Jaylon and Morgan) seemed really all over the place. It was ugly.

He is not Joe Schmidt...

No Shit!

Joe is three years older. He's got 4 years in a Division 1 Strength Progam and 4 years watching film and 3 years of Game Experience, 2 as a LB.

Joe has 4 years experience. Nyles has 4 months.

Joe sat out his freshman year. Nyles just started his 3rd game as a true freshman in an upperclassmen depleted defense.

Joe's a Captain. Nyles still gets lost on campus much less the field.

Joe's been with BVG since January. Playing in his defense since March. Nyles has 4 months.

Joe, Joe, Joe...Joe is gone, dude.

Nyles, needs to get on the balls of his feet and start making plays.

Totally agree. I don't get all the vitriol towards a freshman who has had to step up into a starting role and who has, I'd say, played pretty well at times.

People are really starting to grasp at anything to criticize after these losses. There are plenty of things to criticize about this program over the past few weeks, Morgan's play is way down the list.

Yep, Unfortunately Morgan was labeled as a 5 star recruit by at least one service. This seems to be the kiss of death lately. Seems like our system is not kind to athleticly gifted players. We prefer more cerebral types. This must explain why our 5 star safety is now behind our "heady" 3 star Fresman or why our 5 star RB can't steal a few carries from Mr. Reliable or why Morgan was so far behind our modern day Rudy. Luckily Kelly realizes this and did not recruit any of those overrated 5 star guys this cycle.

Kory Minor was the #1 Defensive Player in America when he entered ND and started as a freshman. He wasn't 247's #97 player. #1 and he struggled badly. And he had Renaldo Wynn to lean on as well as a solid corps of LBs and a speedy seasoned secondary. Morgan has a bunch of other underclassmen that weren't on the 2 Deep when the season started. Hell some of them weren't on the 2 Deep a few weeks ago.

Their vitriol is as stupid as their expectation level. Over the summer before the Frozen Five and the rash on injuries there was widespread talk that ND would have to score a lot of points as they would be in shootouts. Without the lost personnel ND is in shootouts and ... "OMG, ND is not going to play for the NC! Our season is ruined?"

You have to remember that on Monday they have to go to work with their wounded egos and they'll get ragged by their colleagues. So they have to trash 18 year olds today to demonstrate their virility because they won't be able to handle their co-workers tomorrow at the coffee pot.

Morgan, you are the guy. Read and go...game seams so fast for him right now. The question is when the switch flips, now...or two years from now?

Martini is going to play too, regardless. USC is next week...

Being away from SB is good...

What I saw with Nyles was a youngster who tried his butt off every play and couldn't accomplish any more than what hustle could facilitate. He rammed in somewhere in the vague vicinity of the running gap, then almost never could disengage [at all] from the blocker until the RB was well past him. He then turned and hustled after.

If athleticism and attitude can overcome, Nyles Morgan will be a really good player. Right now he is a guy who is largely lost in a big dark wood and doing all he can to cover up the fact that he can't quite see the path.

I say that we get off Nyles' back and thank him for his physical effort in the face of adversity, but if someone like Martini can actually get to the correct gaps better as of now, then let Greer play.
