Remember how Anzalone chose Florida because he thought Kelly was leaving ND?

Not that it really matters, but in reality that's not at all why he went to Florida, just the excuse he used.

NCAA has to implement a mercy rule. Good Lord Bama!

Well... we don't have Thomas yet koon. Here is a little more info from Bone today on some of the recruits we are still chasing. Hopefully we lock up some of these by NSD.

-Ridley is solid. He doesn't think he flips to FSU.
-Thinks Bama has a solid lead for Byron Cowart.
-Feels Ole Miss leads for CeCe Jefferson.
-Doesn't think Minkah de-commits.
-Still likes our chances with Adonis Thomas.
-Predicts Jacques Patrick to Florida State.
-Wouldn't be surprised to see us land Isaiah Prince and Matt Womack.
-Looking very good for Daron Payne.
-DeAndre McNeal is a definite take right now.
-Alabama is considered the team to beat for Ben Davis.
-He thinks our next commitment is someone who is currently committed to another team. (Thomas is the speculation)
-Says he likes our chances with Damien Harris.
-Projects Alabama to land Daron Payne, Adonis Thomas, a RB, Byron Cowart, a possible JUCO, Isaiah Prince and/or Matt Womack.
-Cowart is saying he will commit either at the UA Game or on NSD. Bone says it would not surprise him if he commits sooner based on what he is hearing.

If that's who you end up with then even a 1-loss team is a terrible under performance. That is a ridiculous amount of talent. You'll have top 5 players at every position?

Throw in $7 mil for Saban and that's why expectations are where they are for us. All that equals this:

Results... not excuses.

Yeah, we're not close to being there. We still need the occasional excuse :)

I don't think there has ever been a team that consistently signed the top recruiting class this many years in a row. I like your contributions TTT but I hope something can derail this train because it's impossible to stop.

I like our talent eval and coaching compared to anyone but no one is pulling the number of 5 star and top-level talent like Bama. If we took one of the players you named in that list, we'd consider it a huge boon.

I hope we can take Minkah and leave you with the rest. (probably not happening)

Not much changes at Alabama

Who is left on the outside looking in? Twenty-one commits with five to seven projected commits. Womack and a JUCO reaches seven - a class of twenty-eight.

Saban takes twenty-five or twenty-six.

Alabama has fourteen seniors without eligibility left. I count three juniors who have been there four years who will not have a fifth. Five early entrants to the NFL draft seems a stretch - project three. That's twenty.

Looks like we're going to see some lower-ranked verbals from the class of 2015 squeezed out. The annual game of counting scholarships, projecting transfers and speculating on medical scholies will begin again.

Of the twenty-one verbals in the class of 2015, three are three stars from Alabama who are long-time commits to the Tide. None of them have taken visits elsewhere.

That's assuming we keep everyone we currently have and we get everyone Bone is projecting. Neither of those two things will likely happen.

Good get for them. Was very concerned about their quality of depth on the DL going forward.

Thomas is projected as a will LB. And a good pickup for us. We need a LB that can cover in space. Hoping Thomas is that answer in a couple of years.

I want to slap you for saying your Bama team needs ANYTHING through recruitment.

How do you feel about your matchup with OSU?

I think our db's can slow them down enough to keep them from being able to pass every play. We just don't have a shut down guy at either corner yet. We aren't terrible in that department... just adequate at best. It's definitely our area of weakness and vulnerability. Overall I like the matchup with OSU and think we'll win by double digits. The vulnerability at corner will cause problems though.

Whereas OSU's vulnerability at corner and safety should have you, Blake Simms, Amari Cooper, and Lane "I Celebrate Before the Ball is Thrown" Kiffin drooling.

OSU won't be able to load up the box like they did against the badgers. So the run game should be there too.

I think we have enough of an advantage on both lines to control what we do on offense and defense. The OSU QB is gonna be busy with all the different looks he will see. What OSU did to stop Gordon won't work on Bama. But I am sure Urbie knows that and will try some different sets. OSU's lack of DL depth is gonna hurt them as the game progresses. Bosa is really good but he can be neutralized IMO. Should be a good one.

Leaving Bama, going juco for the year and most likely heading back to Georgia to be with Kirby who recruited him.

Florida State beefed up a routinely thin position group today, gaining the commitment of linebacker Adonis Thomas. Thomas (6-3, 230) will head to Tallahassee from Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he was considered the nation’s No. 2 JUCO LB prospect, and the No. 16 junior college player in the country, overall.

Before attending NMCC, Thomas was at Alabama, which he chose after flipping from an earlier high school commitment to Florida. Thomas is a product of Lawrenceville, Georgia, where he attended Central Gwinnett High School. He had other transfer offers from Penn State, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.
