There are a couple of things that really worry me, about this game:

1. The Golden Cub: Nick O'Leary, grandson of Jack Nicklaus and starting Tight End at Florida State. We have one LB who can maybe cover this kid; Jaylon Smith. The problem with that is that we have maybe one LB that can spy Jameis Winston; Jaylon Smith. So do we take our chances with O'Leary, or with Winston? Or is there someone that I am forgetting about, who might be able to cover a Kyle Rudolph/Tyler Eifert type TE?

2. Florida State's DL: These guys are pretty quick and athletic. I think that Golson's mobility negates that a little bit, but it also puts a TON more pressure on Golson to make good, quick decisions, which is problematic in my view. Regardless of whether you think that the OL is bad or just average, there is no doubt that they are NOT a strength of the offense. So they are going to have to get it together, even if only for one game.

I really think this a really good matchup for ND. Don't expect FSU to change up their offense to something never seen before. Teams just don't do that. Will they bring a little more up tempo? Maybe but if their not used to it, it could cause problems for themselves.

You could have Onwalu cover.

I think we're going to see the BVG defense that we've come to know and love prior to the UNC game. Give JW fits from the type of pro-style blitzing we've grown accustomed to seeing. I would think we could see more of Kolin Hill and Drue Tranquill.

As for FSU's DL, I would think we would see quite a bit of screen passes, 3-step drops, etc.

I agree with all of this. I also would've to see more passes to RBs in the flat with all the pressure I expect FSU to bring. Our OL will have to play the game of their life.

The 10/11/14 Sagarin Predictor Rating makes ND a 1 pt favorite over FSU on a NEUTRAL site and a 2 pt dog in Tallahassee.

Fsu isn't an up tempo offense right?
If not then I think we have a good shot to win this game. Gives our defense to set up. Might be worried tho that fsu will try to push it after watching this past game

Correct they are not. They're not "drag it out" slow either. And Winston is not a running QB. He's averaged 2.2 yards per attempt (20-44yds). Time to confuse the shit out of him and drop DEs into coverage as we bring the house with our DTs crossing and slanting

Exactly switch coverage up and bring blitz to confuse the shit out of him

I said it earlier and I'll say it again. This will either be like OU and we can believe that this year will be special or it will be like the bama game where we learn that we are exposed and learn we are not an elite team. Also if we win it will be because FSU really isn't that good either or at least that's what will be said.

That's why I want Winston to play. I want to beat FSU at full strength. Sure the media will have built in excuses but oh well.

If ND Wins, it doesn't matter what they say. Then we control our own destiny.

Leaning more towards the OU game, since FSU isn't nearly as good as that Alabama team, nor did they have all that prep time. In addition, ND is better than the ND team from '12.

Sect. 118 Row 13 and only cost me 180 bucks. Of course, I jumped on them before the season, so the hype has gone up substantially.

Use a third party site like StubHub for tickets, otherwise there will be plenty of scalpers on Tennessee Street And also Gaines Street. As far as food/bars, it depends on what you want. If you want to get some wings and have a lengthy discussion with Mr Warchant why we're going to win, Go to Corner Pocket Bar and Grill. If you go there, as well as anyone else, I can assure we will have my FSU fan friends make sure nobody starts $hit with us.

Opening line has us a 14 point dog to FSU... so basically, we're 3 points better than NC State in Vegas' mind.

Pre-season line was 24.

Setting up exactly like Oklahoma 2012.

Very curious to see what happens with this line during the week.

Also pretty happy that the spread is so high.

Same. And of note, we're 4-2 ATS this year, and undefeated in games where we weren't a 2+ TD favorite. Under Kelly, our record ATS as an underdog is spectacular.
