Well, if anyone wants to research the date of his high school prom and check the spring game date of UF/ND, you will know his decision as the spring game he will be participating in is the day after the prom. It looks all UF to me.

This is actually incredibly good detective work.

per his twitter of yesterday, he will be in a spring game the day after his prom and won't be able to make the prom.

This year both spring games were played on April 12th.

If he can't make the prom it certainly could be because he's in South Bend not Gainesville. The only thing the tweet tells us for sure is that he isn't dancing.

He won't be dancing with high school girls. He might be with coeds though.

Pretty sure neither school has announced a date for the 2015 game at this point, so not really sure there's much to do about this news.

That really was the point my friend.

Neither will set a date for a couple months.

We'll know where he's going when he shows up for class.

Particularly if this is the holdup in offering Kirkland.

Is it possible that with Kirklands interest, that we told Coney we needed an answer soon or we are moving on?

Why not just give him an ultimatum? Kirkland is a local kid who's far less likely to flake on us down the road than Coney, who's apparently having a hard time picking between an ascendant ND and the tire fire in Gainesville.

Will be very upsetting if we lose pole position with Kirkland because we were waiting on Coney to make what should be a very easy decision.

Agree. I don't see a huge difference in talent, if any at all... So why not offer both and let both know it's first come, fist serve?

Hopefully it ends up not mattering, but I don't like the non-offer strategy so far. FWIW, I'd gladly take both and skip Bilal, but it sounds as if we're only taking one more as is.

Hopefully it was Kelly giving BVG the courtesy of making the call since he hasn't seen his film. That's the most likely scenario IMO. Otherwise, Kelly be trippin.

I will believe it when I see it. He has changed his commitment date like 6 times. Still think he ends up at UF

Per Wiltfong the staff has told all LB's Kirkland, Coney, and Bilal that we are taking 1 more LB and it's first come first serve. I totally agree with Whiskey here.

That's a relief. No better way to handle this situation, I'd say.

It lines up with what's been reported for months-- we want two LBs in this class, but would take a 3rd for an exceptional talent like Hilliard.

Yes and no if that makes sense. I believe that we have some sort of plan that would be ideal and that plan is with 2 LB's. However I also think that we may not get some of those guys and then the best available player is there and it's a LB we take him. A lot of things have changed including now taking a QB, We're recruiting another S, etc.

Exactly on every point Whiskey.

I think I responded in Kirkland's thread that this could end up another Day v. Schutt recruitment and he who blinks ends up with a sub par degree. I hope ND gets the better end of the stick like they did with Day and land another Indy prospect in Kirkland.

I wonder if the coaching staff has contacted Hilliard at all since the season started.

Not saying that it couldn't happen but I wouldn't expect too much traction there. Some may recall that TJ mentioned last summer that the staff wasn't too happy about his public statements regarding the commitment. Also, when it really boiled down to it he wants what OSU is and not ND.

Top shelf Indy talent is nothing to scoff at. If Coney wants to come, I'd be psyched, he's a great player. But I'd love to lock down the state.
