Carmel is really good, BD is supposed to be as well but it's not looking so good right now.

Warren (Sheldon Day) vs Carmel next weekend should be dynamite.

Edit: Sorry, Kirkland is at LC and they suck...although not as bad as his old HS Park Tutor (Tiassum's school) who is REALLY bad. Bilal and Ben Davis is aren't showing very well either.

I wouldn't bag on Ben Davis, they have only lost 2 games... to Warren Central and Carmel and both were on the road. Looks like WC and Carmel are on their way back to the state championship game, just like last year. Can't wait to see next weeks tape of the 1 vs 2 match up.

BK told him that he is going to recruit him hard and he feels that an offer is coming soon.

He also said this visit definitely increased ND's chances of landing him

per Anna

IMO, he's ours if offered

I dont see why the staff would not offer now. We are pretty thin at ILB and our starter is leaving after this year. It is basically Deeb, Morgan, and maybe Rudolph.

I'll add to this. It said BVG needs to review his film. Also he said he needs to get his family to ND and talk with them. Very positive.

That's called buying time to see if the other guys they want commit first.

Seems like everyone has been talking about a big middle linebacker named Grace coming back so I doubt it's that he wouldn't 'fit' into the system. Obviously Hilliard & Coney graded higher with the Irish so they didn't offer originally but circumstances in the progression have changed and there is communication now.

We'll never know the reason why this relationship blossomed later than sooner but it would be interesting to know what it was.

As an Indiana native, it would be cool to have a starting LB corp of 3 Hoosiers a few years down the road if their performance earned them that.

.

Yes... You're right, since we have one true mlb coming back, one that just had a massive injury that kept him out the entire season so far and has never played on an elite level, the #1 overall player from indiana probably doesn't fit our team.

That makes ton of sense.

Didn't get that from his comment. He said I doubt it's because he didn't fit our system and felt he wasn't offered bc Hilliard and Coney were higher targets for ND.

We need to save the spot to make sure we … ummm… we just need to save it, ok.

No he didnt. Started on ST

I must have looked at about twenty articles all saying that he didn't play at all his freshman year and first started on special teams his sophomore year. I couldn't find any that stated he played his freshman year. Lots of articles referring to him as a redshirt junior.

What's to consider?

Do I want to play in a dog pile of dump? Or do I want to play for a top, now perennial, football program that offers one hell of a degree?

Important to note, he's never been to South Bend before.

- Coaching staff called him midweek to see if he'd come and he decided to check it out. Said he got more out of it than he was expecting.

- Got to talk to Elston, BVG, and Kelly. Kelly said he's going to recruit him hard. But he does not have an offer yet and hopes to get one. Reason he might not have an offer is BVG hasn't yet seen his film.

- Loved the environment, student section, watching Jaylon and Joe, and said the defense looked great. Sat next to Shawn Crawford and Brandon Tiassium, who used to play on the same team as him.

- Going to talk with family, keep his options open, still committed to Michigan. IMO, he sounds about as non-committed as you can sound after saying 'still committed to Michigan'.

I would love to see an offer come this week.

Anna doesn't think an offer will come as soon as Kirkland thinks. She made the point that the staff knows that the ball is in their court with this recruitment and will probably wait and see what direction the recruitments of Bilal and Coney are heading.

IMO (which doesn't matter), I'd be happy to take Kirkland over Bilal. I think Coney's a boss, but Bilal's film I saw wasn't impressive and he can't make a decision between UM and ND at this point, I'm happy to pass on him.

Kirkland is definitely the safe choice between the 3.

Bilal's recruitment is extremely frustrating and I'm losing interest in it fast.

Coney is hard to read for me. I think I read that he being close to home is intriguing to him and he doesn't know if he can handle the academic workload at ND

This one right here isn't so bad. He just likes to be left alone, his decision will come. I kind of like that personality, opposed to the look at me kids.

If John Reid got passed on for taking too long, I'm fine with passing on Bilal. Reid is a far better player IMO, and was at least considering a school that's not an embarrassment on the field.

I find it a bit ridiculous that Bilal has to see more of Michigan vs. ND, considering the product on the field and the fact that he's apparently an academic kid.

I'd take Kirkland over Bilal if Kirkland wants in, but I'm sure they know what they're doing.

You don't get it. He likes to be left alone. He's not public, prob doesn't have a fb account. He is just different that way which isn't a bad thing. Where is he going to go to school? He's going somewhere.

Kirkland is good but not better than Bilal. Take them both, please.

I just think the best way to be "left alone"...is to commit to a school. I'm in the camp of taking both!

Wanting to be left alone has nothig to do with my point.

My point is between the current state of notre dame and Michigan, football, proximity, staff, academics, there's no comparison. If he truly likes both, what's there to wait for. Hell, Michigan's most vocal commit, Kirkland, sees their program is going to the shits for the near future, so is starting to take visits.

I'd understand if he's been committed to Michigan and wants to give them every chance to fix it, but Bilal has been down to only um and nd for over 2 months and they've been nothing but a train wreck and were clearly trending the exact opposite. What's more to see? He's willing to wait it out for a reason to give um a chance, so fine if we offer Kirkland.

And I disagree. I think Kirkland is better.

Yeah, I agree. We know that. If BK is around all will be REAL good at ND. It is that simple.

This dude needs to jump on board, and Bilal...then they should arm wrestle. Then they should go kick USC, Stanford, you all get it's ass...
