Indy IE members, how has Kirkland looked this season?

Is the communication with him a zero at this point? Would seem a storybook situation to have the top 3 players from Indiana, all LB's, go to play together in college.

Michigan's current state of affairs would probably create an opening to re-engage.

I assume that nothing has been added to this thread since May for a reason.

Not sure we ever offered, but I think it would be hard to pull him away when it appears he never had any genuine interest in us. 247 timeline doesn't even show him unofficialing to us. Well maybe that had to do with interest on our part more than his.

We never offered because he was a MIKE-only prospect we weren't interested in at the time. Don't know why we'd be interested now unless it has to do with missing on Hilliard + maybe missing on Coney/Bilal.

Sounds like he is very open to other schools now. He is going to be an EE, so the timeline is shorter here. Hope we offer and make a great impression.

Yeah, people tend to stay away from dumpster fires.

No shit, you are sooo right. As ND fans, I think we all relate to "down" years but nothing like the backlash fuckigan is going through.

An EE to Michigan may well not have much time to get to know his new coaching staff before he shows up on campus. Could be very hard for them to keep him.

Michigan needs to suffer much more before they approach the levels of suffering we have faced.

If Bilal shows up

Bilal and Ben Davis gave up 450+ yards rushing to Carmel tonight so maybe the italics weren't needed? lol

Sounding like Carmel could play with anyone in the country. 4500 students helps.

Carmel is really good, BD is supposed to be as well but it's not looking so good right now.

Warren (Sheldon Day) vs Carmel next weekend should be dynamite.

Edit: Sorry, Kirkland is at LC and they suck...although not as bad as his old HS Park Tutor (Tiassum's school) who is REALLY bad. Bilal and Ben Davis is aren't showing very well either.

Lax on the money back in September.

Hell, i'll take the #1 player in IN (on a loaded year for IN) as a 3rd or 4th option. A lot has changed as far as our needs since the beginning of the cycle. Back when he committed to Michigan, we were a bad fit for him and vice versa. Funny how things change so quickly.

Seems like everyone has been talking about a big middle linebacker named Grace coming back so I doubt it's that he wouldn't 'fit' into the system. Obviously Hilliard & Coney graded higher with the Irish so they didn't offer originally but circumstances in the progression have changed and there is communication now.

We'll never know the reason why this relationship blossomed later than sooner but it would be interesting to know what it was.

As an Indiana native, it would be cool to have a starting LB corp of 3 Hoosiers a few years down the road if their performance earned them that.

If he commits this weekend, I feel safe in thinking Coney is gone, Michigan's class will fall apart, and maybe Bilal may not have a spot (unless Bilal can play another position).
