Still seems like we could/should just be honest about it and offer him a scholarship at LB. He can choose to take it or leave it based on his preference for position, but as others have mentioned, a lot of prospects who want to play RB end up killing it at LB.

Just a guess on my part, but they may not want to do that to make sure they don't lose anyone. Some kids don't like it when more than one is being recruited for the same position.

Wish we went after him harder. Made no sense to me then, and still doesn't make sense to me now.

I only watched the first quarter of the game, and only remember Ballage's first snap, but it was obvious immediately that he's going to be a very good, versatile weapon for ASU.

Too bad the ND coaches didn't agree with his desire to play offense lol.

yep joins vanderdoes, jack, adoree etc...the cool thing to do in the pac 12
It does seem like a trend. I figure it could quell the debate about him being a better running back, or outside linebacker prospect. If I remember correctly that was something people were divided on when he was being recruited.

Not to rain on this kid's parade, but...let's be serious here folks. Texas Tech's defense isn't even good enough to be considered garbage. I could probably hoist up 11 wacky-waving inflatable arm-flailing tubemen, and they'd probably put up a better fight defensively than Texas Tech.

Adams would likely do the same to them, if not worse, if that's even possible.

Saw the game live - something like 4 or 5 of his rushing touchdowns were inside the 5 yard line when he came in as a bulldozer back out of the Wildcat. Texas Tech literally could not stop him or make the right adjustments even though he ran right side off tackle every time for those 5 TDs. He got strung out once to the wide side and wasn't wrapped up and made a good effort to extend into the endzone. He did have a 75 yd TD run when he also wasn't wrapped up by multiple defenders.

Great accomplishment for the kid, excellent nose for the endzone, but that Texas Tech defense...yikes...When the TT offense stalls, they cannot stop anyone on D.
