They look similar when running upright that's it. Doesn't mean their styles of running are the same.

in an insider article, it said he wouldn't mind a place that would allow him to play basketball as well...Texas A & M has committed in basketball 2 of his friends from the team

I would do anything to recruit the offensive side of the ball like A&M, heck even half as good as them.

Acie Law was the #11 pick, DeAndre Jordan is a borderline All Star, Dejaun Blair has had a decent career, and they had a really solid tourney streak through 2011.

We haven't exactly been an exciting team to watch every year either. Not saying the tradition and production aren't there, but you have to remember the Big East didn't really mean much of anything in Texas. Before I went to ND, I couldn't have named half the league.

Wow, that is impressive. I really haven't watch any of his b-ball stuff. Would be awesome to have him come here and be a 2 sport guy. I think Coach Kelly would allow it.

It should for a basketball player. The Big XII for the most part is/was a pretty good basketball conference. Kansas and OSU stand out, and Baylor has come on strong lately. But outside of that, it seems to be a revolving door of meh teams that occasional have a breakout year. Texas with Durant, A&M with Law, K-State with Beasley.

That doesn't come remotely close to the Big East, which unlike the top-heavy Big XII, had a lot more variety and depth. UConn, Syracuse, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Marquette, Cincinnati, West Virginia. That is a gauntlet no way around it.

And let's not forget the conference ND is in now. Duke, UNC, Louisville, Syracuse, Pitt, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Miami. It's a proverbial mixing pot of basketball powers. The gap between the Big East and Big XII was big enough as it is, the gap between the ACC and Big XII is gargantuan.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this wrong but Blair didn't go to Texas A&M. He went to PITT

So it sounds like some TAMU people heard he is from Texas and TAMU wants him. Their conclusion is that he's all TAMU.

This comes up annually. Always amounts to nothing. Because, really, what big-time program is actually going to be cool with an elite recruit playing hoops on the side? (same goes for basketball-first kids playing football). Just doesn't happen anymore.
Hope someone clues in Soso to that before A&M whispers too many sweet nothings into his ear.
