Seemed like he missed quite a few tackles on Saturday. Maybe first game jitters.
I saw him miss one tackle on the sideline, then quickly recover to get in on a gang tackle of the ball carrier. I didn't see "quite a few" missed tackles.

Just thought id drop this off here and let the picture do all the talking

I know people are jumping on you for this, but that's what I saw too. It didn't stop him from dominating on defense and having a good game, but he missed a lot of tackles for him. It's good to know that a game where he has struggles is still one where he is the best player on defense. lol
On the other hand, I didn't see him blocked out of a single play all game long. Always found a way to get into the right spots.
I was happy with his play, but like you said, saw a lot of missed tackles.
I'm in the majority here. I saw maybe 1 missed tackle along with him recovering to get in on the gang tackle. He did have a 'quiet' game though. He was all over the place, but the good thing was, so was everybody else. That defense was in swarm mode, which has me very optimistic about the trend of the defense under BVG.

I think he has the potential to be the best LB in school history by the time he graduates.
Not even a question IMO. He's got to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, athletic freaks in college football right now. He towers over everyone and is faster than running backs. He might never get the Heisman hype of Te'o, but his impact is already just as big as Manti's.

I'll concede that sophomore Jaylon has had a bigger impact than sophomore Manti, but it'll take a special couple of years for him to match what Manti did over four.
That's what I meant. Sophomore to-date.Freshman and Sophomore Jaylon, in my opinion.

Jaylon is going to be a top 10 pick in 2015. I can't believe he is a sophomore.
I doubt it. He is undersized and most of all, he is not a pass rusher. The precedent of Dion Jordan, who looks like a bust, does not help him either (they share a similar style of game). NFL want sacks and QB hurries.
Does anyone know what his celebration means (if anything)?

Anyway, to me, he is right now the second best defensive player in College Football, only behind Leonard Williams, the JJ Watt of College Football.
