I agree. I think he's making graphics from all of his top schools.

However, I still think ND is the leader right now subject to change.

Per TV, they'd like to see Nd lock up Coney in September or they fear there is a much greater risk of losing him throughout his recruitment. One thing in ND's favor is Coney's father wants a structured environment for Tevon and getting away to South Bend may do just that.

FWIW, during BGI's recruiting roundup Loy says that he'd be surprised if ND doesn't get a commitment from Coney.

I would be surprised if we got Coney. And then get Coney to stick would be hard. I don't think he even know's what he wants yet. Too many conflicting reports

I feel like he is just waiting for Florida to really push for him. They are obviously still recruiting him but he is not the top guy on their board and he feels like he should be. If they fill the spot we have nothing to worry about but if not, and they press for him, I don't see how we hold them off unless he is just scorned at that point. Reminds me a lot of Yeargin.

Yeargin actually tried to commit to Florida plenty of times and they told him to wait. I don't know if Coney has tried to yet.

I like the Yeargin example and believe that could be the route this goes. One thing that differs, that is of some significance, is Coney's family is in ND's corner.

Was there a TV update today?

Yea but nothing really new on Coney. Like they stated last week, the ND staff would like to get a commitment this weekend and have Tevon shut down his recruitment. We're basically co leaders with UF with Miami in the mix and he seems bent on takin visits but maybe that changes.

Sorry, I'm drawing a blank, but one of the recruiting analysts said there is a strong possibility he commits this weekend.

Official visit updates cannot happen until they leave campus. Most of the official visitors wont leave campus until later today

In an after game interview, Loy was in an exuberant state about Notre Dame's chances with recruits Tillery, Al'cee Jones, Soso Jamabo, Malik Henry, and Coney. Not only did Coney interact with current recruits Hoge, Guyton, Tillery, Nico Fertitta, but spent a good deal of time with Tony Alford after the game. Commented Loy - you can see a real connection there. Coney's team, Palm Beach Gardens won a defensive struggle with Park Vista Friday night - 10 - 7. Due to an injury to Gardens starting quarterback, Irish 2016 offer Devin Studstill was moved from defensive back to play quarterback. Acorns don't fall very far from the tree!

Scout: Loved the visit and had a lot of fun. BK told him to take his time deciding. Hosted by Bryant. Said UF and ND are tops with ND probably having the slight edge. Still needs to visit UF again and is watching Miami closely. Would like to visit ND again and is pushing his decision farther out now.

To me this screams distance is a big issue or he really loves UF and they aren't 100% on him.

Per Loy who seems to be pretty connected here there is a concern if Tevon wants the academic work load at ND. He understands what ND has to offer but it can be overwhelming and this is something that he'll have to decide if it's for him or not. Loy still likes our chances as the family is in our corner but he's also stated in the past the longer this goes the worse it is for our chances.

On the II podcast Pete said it well. The easy decision would be Florida the hard decision would be ND.
