36 in 1998. Also scored 35 in 2008 and 1943. Anyone think we get over 36 this year?

I actually like our chances. That 48 last week could have easily been 58, and I just don't see it being a low scoring affair like 2012.

For the record, Michigan has scored 38 three times (2003, 2007, 2009) 41 points in 2013, and 47 points in 2006. Got to drop 40 on them.

36 is our record?? Thats depressingly low. 44 i can feel it.

Also the all time win % is on the line.

Just fucking win.

I almost always take the "a wise man knows he doesn't know anything" route to assessing sports, and I think it's especially true with a Michigan/Notre Dame game.

I'm not exactly confident that the OL can handle what Greg Mattison is going to throw at it, and it would surprise me if Fuller and Prosise are running away from Michigan defenders.

The team with the better defense normally wins. Just saying..just ****ing win.

Didn't we score 31 last year with an offense led by Tommy Rees!? No doubt in my mind we could pass 36 this week

Same. I couldn't give a sh*t if Brian Kelly has to take a mirror out of his pocket and shine it in Gardner's eyes. Win the damn game because I'm sick of losing to this mediocre panty-waste of a program.

A bit along these lines. I expect everyone that is attending the game from this sight to bring laser pointers. Gardner's eyes, the B1G ref's eyes, Funchess..........and on down the line. Blind all them fuckers. Win at all cost. Fuck Michigan.

Speaking of this I have this horrible pit in my stomach. I honestly feel like if we win this game we'll be challenging for a title in two or three years. The last time I felt such a way was 2011 USC...

But we lost that and challenged* for a title...

NEW GAMEPLAN: Let Michigan win!

But seriously I have that feeling that if Golson kills it against Michigan than he can tear it up all year long, whereas if Mattison's crew can disrupt the offense, then so can Stanford, Florida State, Louisville, and Southern Cal. That'd put the Irish at 7-5 maximum. Fuck this schedule man.

It's crucial to start 4-0. Just fucking win this game. Any means necessary.

I can't believe that is the most points we have ever scored against them. Would be amazing to put the big 50 on them. Not that I think that will happen, just that it would be absurd and a great way to finish this thing off with them.

This board needs more Michigan hate and recruit visit speculation... Can we get a random "all is well" so to shift the focus of the board?

Prediction: ND 45 Mich 27 ... we're going to pound the shit out of them between the tackles

Prosise? Yes. Fuller? No. I wouldn't be surprised to see him 5-yards behind their defenders more than a few times. He's just flat out faster than them. Elmer and Stanley need to do a better job of containing. Everett can pull a Houdini every now and then, but he's not going to escape every time. I really hope Jaylon Smith has his coming out party against the Skunkbears. I want double-digit tackles, at least 2 TFL and an INT.

30, but 7 of those came courtesy of a Tuitt pick in the endzone (Probably his lone bright spot in the first half of the season).

Another note: am I weird for saying that after (and especially if we win) this last game I won't miss playing Michigan at all? Every place I go read it's Notre Dame fans and Michigan fans boo-hooing about the loss of the series and I just don't get it. The games have been entertaining sure, but you don't think Texas/Georgia will be?

I think for me the main issue is that with Michigan, unlike USC, Michigan State, or Stanford, it's never about what's on the field. It's a damned circus that rolls in at the beginning of the season and distracts from everything important. For Michigan this might be refreshing, because after us they play UCONN and Saint Mary's School for the Blind until they get into their boooooooring B1G conference schedule. But for me, as an ND fan? Nah. I'm good. We've got enough constant distractions as it is.

So bottom line: I'm tired of dealing with these *ssholes. I'm tired about arguing who's racist or chicken or more nationally relevant or who has the all time winning %. I want to kick their *sses one last time, jingle keys at them until they go back to their sh*t hole of a state, and proceed to ignore them for the next 30 years.

I wont miss them much, but I'd rather keep this rivalry than the Stanford one personally.

From the spread and o/u I've seen (54.5), the Vegas prediction is 30-25.

...and you know this how? Fuller is fast, but so is Peppers and Countess.

Hey... watch it Hammer. Michigan's football team can suck a big one, but Michigan itself is a fine state. One of the best, really.

Also... ND sits walking distance from the state line, so there's that...

Did you just compliment the state of Michigan? On this week?

I've reported your post and expect you to be banned shortly.

One of the only times I can recall anyone having something nice to say about the state of Michigan.

this just seemed worth repeating. The belligerent BS spewed by the entire organization from fanbase to head coach is so nauseating and contrived that I can only really sum it up in two words - FUCK MICHIGAN

Which is why it's important for Michigan that Jabrill Peppers is healthy and starting. Hoke says he's going to start, but he took a pretty dirty low hit to the knees/ankle from a tiny little white WR for WMU. There aren't very many dudes in all of college football faster than him and he's hands down the fastest athlete on the entire Michigan roster. Blake Countess and Ray Taylor are more quicker than fast, and both have had trouble covering speedy receivers on go routes.

Peppers is so fast he can cover Fuller on the right and Brown on the left at the same time.

Peppers is so fast they don't need anyone else in their defensive backfield Saturday night.

But seriously...Peppers is probably faster than any of our WR's. That doesn't mean he can cover them, especially since he's a freshman and still learning...but he can keep up with anyone IF his technique is right. That said...we have FOUR guys who can fly (Prosise, Fuller, Brown, Carlisle) and that will cause problems for them, IMO...especially if they play man coverage.
