I get more bummed when star recruits jilt us late in the game.

Note I didn't say "not amped" I said "LEAST amped"....... just relative to other years, I'm not counting down the hours the same way.

I think a big part of it is just that looming Michigan game in week 2. That's such a watershed moment that it's hard to be UP for Rice... hope players have a better mindset than I do.

I gotcha. I've actually been down since the 4 got suspended, and trying to stay up on a false hope that they're going to be back for Michigan. If they don't get back for that game, I'm going to be really fucking bummed, even if we win because we won't be nearly as good as we could be.
