League vote:

Should I add a Flex spot or no?

(Caveat: Meant to originally, but didn't - Respect those who say keep it now after the draft, but we have always had once. Thus I think a vote is fair)

I say yes, and I drafted 5 WRs and 3 RBs in case it stayed WR heavy.

Also, we are a few weeks from the season, and I've already finished last. Lol

Add it. Ive never been in a league that didnt have a flex, plus i didnt notice until way late in the draft.

And it doesn't make sense to have a WR heavy league thats .75 PPR.

Took a super late nap, missed our draft lol... But I'm glad I fixed my rankings earlier; the CPU drafted me a damn fine team, minus maybe my RB depth.

I would have voted yes before the draft and I'd still prefer a flex, but I don't think the settings should change after the draft. People pick their teams based on the settings at the time of the draft (or at least they should and people that did shouldn't be punished for it). So I vote no.

Sorry I missed the draft. I put hoes before bros tonight and I'm not proud of it. I'll be active all season though. Haven't even looked at my probably injury filled team yet

haha i had to autodraft and the CPU picked me Randall Cobb, TY Hilton, Markus Wheaton, Aaron Dobson and Victor Cruz

My Rb picks were better though, Eddie Lacy, Gio Bernard and MJD.

Your autodraft stole Gio Bernard a pick before I was gonna take him. :upset:

I actually just looked and I can't add one after the draft anyway.

That settles that.

I was looking at the draft results last night, and it looks like you picked Brandon Marshall BEFORE his autodraft took Gio.

(I only know this because I'm a Bengals fan, so I had Gio way overvalued in my rankings and wanted to see how his pick played out.)

Well my autodraft got the highest "Draft Grade" so I guess I can't be upset. I do wish they gave me AP instead of Charles though. And I would have preferred Cam Newton over any of my previous 3 picks. But oh well.

Drafting 11th, Avengers Assemble took advantage of their feeble-minded opponents and drafted a team capable of making some noise come playoff time. They are expected to finish first in Irish Envy 2014 with a record of 12-2-0 (1,593 points).

Those draft grades are hilarious. They just rank you by how closely your picks followed their rankings, which are terrible. They also don't factor in things like depth - the grades are based on projected points and assume everyone will play every game at 100%. I won two leagues last year where my draft grade was a B- or worse and I was projected to finish 9th or 10th, mostly because I completely disregard yahoo's ranks and go off of my own.

I bet if you drafted all Kickers they will still give you a B- or so. "Special teams an area of strength for this ball club!"

Btw, can a mod make a new thread and moved all the 2014 related posts over there?

Also we need a list of each IE member's team names so we know who we are up against :D

I'm not sure about that. If that were the case, wouldn't your grade match your projected finish? I'm graded second with a difficult schedule and JiveTurkeys is graded first with an easy schedule, but I'm still projected to finish above him for some reason. I think part of it is based on the Yahoo Rankings and part based on average draft position from other leagues.

No, it mocked someone for drafting two kickers:

JiveTurkeys knows this is American football, right? They elected to go with two kickers, instead of stockpiling depth at other positions.

Those bastards. They autodraft me two kickers then make fun of me for it.

I'm in that boat haha. Two f*cking kickers, one of them in the NINTH round. I made my own rankings to reference during the draft that the computer ended up using when I autodrafted, but I forgot to drop all of the kickers way down.

Could have really used another RB rather than a second kicker.
