Notice how he said there quarterbacks coach know what he is doing. I know Lafuer and Henry are very close. Does FSU have a QB coach?

Think their OC and Jimbo do it. Like ND with Martin and Kelly. But they don't have someone that's only a QB coach.

Interesting their seems to be some optimism from all the pay sites except 247 for ND while there is pretty much none on 247. Even Loy has sided with his sources within the FSU program over his sources at ND.

Haven't we established Loy is an FSU fan? Hoping for a little bias with his assessment if so.

Yes that's where he started off has a reporter as well. He was actually very trusted across 247 when he worked down there.

In a different VIP article, Henry gave a description of the schools he feels he will commit to:

One one hand, FSU is not "very good" academically like ND while on the other hand ND doesn't produce QBs like FSU.

I'm lost. What school is this referring to?

Montana, Theismann, Mirer, Quinn, Clausen, Beuerlein, Huarte, Hanratty (who?), Lamonica were all either drafted high or had successful careers. Probably missing some more.

Interesting that you should even include Daryl Lamonica as having a successful Notre Dame career. I mean compare his Notre Dame passing statistics with those of Tommy Rees. I doubt that Lamonica had a hundred completions in his entire career at Notre Dame, to go with 8 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Low draft pick out of college, and he sat on the bench behind Jack Kemp for four years. And yet, Al Davis saw something, and Oakland ends up with the Mad Bomber!

True, but back then passing wasn't a big part of an offense and they typically went long. Thus stats from those era's pale in comparison to today's stats.

I think you mean 'fluid'.

But hopefully he's fluent in a language other than English. Then admissions could find another way to stab this team in the heart other than the foreign language requirement.

The point I was trying to make in my comment - Notre Dame, and his coach, Joe Kuharich, were obtuse as to the talent they had, and did not know how to use Lamonica as a passer. Oakland's Al Davis saw something, and Lamonica has a successful professional career.

He's keeping in really good contact with the staff and saying all the right things.

FSU is really pushing the Jameis/baseball route. Theres also a lot of pressure being put on their current 2015 commits. Dont be surprised to see one, maybe two fall off.

I know the ND staff likes where they stand.

Obviously the longer it drags out, the more unpredictable this becomes.

You talking about FSU and their bazziolion QBs? Or ND's commits?

Thanks for the info!

Malik, if you are reading this remember these simple facts...

The sooner you commit, the sooner the staff can devote more attention to the second most important thing next to signing you and that's... finding more 5 star lineman to protect you!

You're a smart young man, with the OL talent that's already at ND and what's in the pipeline... ND is the SAFEST place for a QB to be. You may go a career untouched.

Plus, 30 years from now, that ND degree will be making you serious paper from coast to coast.

We like how you're leanin'!

Scary thing about this kid is he looks to be getting better and better. His arm strength will only improve and the rest of his game is so advanced for his stage.
