For the record I would take the Bulls offer if I'm the TWolves. I prefer an NBA starter + 2 great prospects over 1 + draft picks. If Bulls throw in a 1st rounder that would definitely seal it.

Sure but which one has superstar talk surrounding him?

Both have actually.

BleedBlueGold Wooly, what kind of lineup are the Bulls looking at if Mirotic is as good as advertised? Gasol, Noah, McDermott, Butler, Rose...6th man Mirotic?

Or swap McDermott for Mirotic if you want to play big. Most Bulls fans hope that the 6th man is really a "5b" though.

Re Mirotic: The Tony Kukoc comparisons have me drooling. Tony was the ultimate 6th man for those Bulls runs. Third leading scorer on that team coming off the bench. I like what the Bulls have now and don't think they need Love. Rose, Butler, McD/Mirotic, Gasol, Noah. That's a lineup that will go deep into the EC if they stay healthy.

Do you even know who Mirotic is? He's widely heralded as the best European prospect since Dirk. Past Wiggins, I don't see what prospect is better than any of them, especially Mirotic.

He is a stretch four who hasn't played an NBA game, and he isn't a good enough prospect to bring in superstars. Mirotic has the hype and played well in Europe, but he's not more heralded than Pau Gasol, Jonas Valanciunas, Darko Milicic, or Tiago Splitter, all of whom were either bigger prospects or produced better in EuroLeague. Mirotic could just be another Sarunas Jasikevicius, who never adjusts to the game. You are overrating him because he's on the Bulls. If he was on another team you wouldn't trade Kevin Love for him when they could get a load of draft picks or Andrew Wiggins or even Anthony Bennett.

If the Bulls offered Gibson, Mirotic, and McDermott to the Cavs for Wiggins, Bennett, and draft picks, the Cavs would hang up the phone before they could finish their sentence.

Not sure why Cavs would want to get rid of both Wiggins and Waiters. Who would play SG?

Kevin Martin if they include him.

All this bulls talk is based on DRose returning to his MVP form? Does anyone really see that as likely?

Nerlens Noel would be the target i presume.

He is only 25 I believe, and last year's injury wasn't as severe as the ACL from the year before, so he should be in fine shape to start the season.

I like to think he's not going to get unlucky 3 straight years, but I know what you're saying. I'd be he has a big year though. At least 22 ppg.

I'm not so concerned about him getting another injury. But he's missed a TON of ball and there was talk of him being timid after the acl. Can't imagine he's got over that with another knee injury. I am not a bulls fan but will admit I was rooting for him and the bulls big time the year he tore his acl. I am just skeptical on if he is going to provide the team with what they think they are going to get.

On the other side, the east is isn't difficult to make playoffs and any team with him, Noah, gasol is going to be top 8 in east.

It's a valid concern, especially since his game is getting to the hole. I've never had a major injury, so I can't say what it's like.

But if you'll let me compare apples to blueberries, I watched the Louisville player from two tourneys ago (Kevin Ware?) destroy his leg by simply jumping, no contact. I play basketball 1-2 times a week, and when I go up, I sometimes wince when I'm coming down because I can't get that picture out of my head. I can't imagine what it'd be like when you can jump way higher and the injury actually happened to you.

Granted, I'm a big wimp. But I honestly think about it.

^ This.

There's zero chance the T-wolves would accept the Bulls' trade if what we hear they're offering and what the Cavs are offering are as reported.

Gar Forman, during an interview after the draft, said two different teams offered them a top ten pick for his rights.

Fraschilla thought he would have been a top four pick in a deep draft this year.

I'm not saying the kid will be a superstar, but it's not just Bulls fans that think he has some value.

What's harder to get? You can address outside shooting every year via free agency. Wades don't grow on trees.

Wade's best years are behind him. He did well in the playoffs because he had to sit out a lot of the season because his legs can't handle a heavy load.

There was a ton of talk everywhere about him not being back mentally. If I remember correctly, doctors cleared him yet he said he wasn't ready to play. Rumblings of teammates questioning him. I'm not sure he can shake the thoughts of getting another injury.

I believe everything you said but the bolded. From what I remember, his teammates, especially Noah, backed him and his decision. The rumblings were ESPN creating a story over whether or not he was coming back.

Just telling you what I heard on the radio. I hope he comes back because he's good for the league.

I'm glad your google machine works, but you are completely incorrect on how nba scouts look at Mirotic. He is just as highly regarded as all of the people you listed and is most compared to Dirk, which is saying something. Also, the biggest downside to his draft status was his Real Madrid contract, which had a buyout that guaranteed a late entrance into the league. This is a guy they have all star expectations for, and if you didn't read that, then google him up again.

Thought I read somewhere Mirotic signed under the pretense he would be a Bull. I don't see him crossing the pond if he is going to be traded to a shit bag team like the Timberwolves.

He signed under the pretense that that it would be a delayed signing because of his status as a contracted player for Real Madrid. When he was drafted, much like Rubio, it was known that he wasn't coming. He is thought of as the best euro player and has a contract/buyout that reflects that. This is the first year that it made monetary sense to sign, and the Bulls have his rights.

If he stayed, the Gasol pickup makes that more sense as a mentor. But for Love...

That's the most sickening injury I've ever seen happen to an athlete.
