Elliot (regional) and LaFleur (QB coach). Basically, LaFleur has been in charge of landing the next QB and it seems to be working with the 2016 class. I think Kelly will get involved eventually but from what I've seen not too much currently.

If he can't make it in the next few weeks, he'll try to get here in the first few games of the season. His interest is legit. He's backing up his already strong reputation with accolades at camp.

I think Henry likes UCLA and FSU more than us right now, and I just don't think we land Eason or Pass. Really hope we can get Shea on campus soon and make a big impression.

I agree 100%! This kid is legit, and would be a huge get. Honestly, I have heard all the arguments either way about the 5 big time QB's for 16' and how so and so is better and blah blah. I get it, there are kids that have better pro potential and bigger arms and yada yada. I don't care about that anymore. We had that with Clausen and though not his fault, our record was abysmal. Give me a kid that is a proven winner with intangibles all day! Kids like Everett will flourish at ND, and I think both Everett and Shea have what it takes to do it here on the biggest stage.

Appears to be an interesting situation with him and LSU. They already have a highly rated QB in Franks committed but he has serious MLB interest and they might like Patterson more. The belief seems to be they could offer Patterson, knowing Franks has baseball aspirations and an offer to Patterson could trigger a commitment from him and decommitment from Franks

In short. They'd risk Franks decommitting to get Patterson.

I'm going to let the QB situation play out a little before I make too many predictions or conclusions. I think there are a lot of things working for us but I also realize that the immediate feel of things is its trending against us. It seems as though LaFleur really built some good relationships with these kids but we are taking some pretty heavy blows from the opposition and is he and the staff up to the task. Will be interesting to follow and a lot to play out.
