Have to respect a kid who doesn't commit when the pressure is on, but I wish Bilal would pop because I really don't want to have him lose a spot in this class.

As long as they are in good academic standing, that's what I remember as well.
I believe that's true, at least for one of the rates. Students who leave early in good academic standing are non-counters. There's some differences between the two that I'm sure Whiskey knows off the top of his head.
Also, this doesn't really yet reflect Kelly recruits... who haven't reached the end of their eligibility term to be counted. It's more a reflection of Duval Kamara, etc. who didn't get it done in the classroom.
Lastly, Jordan Prestwood, Tee Shpehard (he counts, right?), and the like will probably drop the average in coming years.
Correct. As long as the player leaves in good standing academically--to another school or the NFL--it doesn't count against GSR.
GSR is the only one that matters. APR is a joke.
We know Prestwood transferred due to grades. Lynch reportedly had a ~3.0 average when he left, so I doubt we took a hit for him. Neal and Ferguson might have been academically ineligible (which would explain the sudden drop in AA GSR if the hit occurs upon transfer instead of when their athletic eligibility expires). I don't recall reading anything about Spencer Boyd's grades (USF transfer from the 2009 class) or GAIII struggling academically, but they're both possibilities as well. It's based on a rolling 6-year window, but I can't think of anyone else who might be responsible.
I'd hope Shepard doesn't count, because he never even got past the clearing house.
Maybe Kinlaw might be added to that list soon?

I meant between the two GSR numbers. I know there is a "federal" one and I can't remember the other.
Mom really loved the trip per Wiltfong
She especially loved that ND wasn't much of a "party setting." Where u at NDSean44?![]()

Hoke gonna turn up the heat on this visit guaranteed. I still think we win out though. This visit isn't any deviation from exactly what he said he was going to do with his final visits.
I don't know, from what I have seen, a recruiting visit at UM and PSU for that matter can be the crucible. Seventeen year-olds can feel the pressure, and not see the difference between the pitch, and a coach that truly cares about them. (See SEC success, generally.)
I agree Hoke is gonna be all over him. I am a little anxious about this one for some reason, but I agree that we will win this one in the end.
For all of Hoke's flaws (and there are many) he and Mattison are great pressure recruiters. I never, ever like those two having last shot... although typically it's when they've beaten us to the punch that it's an issue. Per the people who get paid to do this, they've always said it's a very close race with Michigan.

Wiltfong has been pretty adamant that it's closer than most think or want to admit (mainly Irish fans).
We gotta stop talking like this. I am getting horrible vibes and diabetes from giving Michigan credit.
