Ehh, idk about any type of psychological issues. He is probably an all-around decent person when there is no booze involved. I knew kids in college that were completely different people when drinking heavily.
Idk about your assessment.
From what I've noticed around intoxicated people, alcohol tends to lower your social inhibitions.
So, genuinely nice people tend to be awesome to hang out with.
Whereas people with repressed motives tend to express them, due to the lack of inhibition.
But, like all situations. You can't lump human nature into one or two explanations, everyone as the ability to act in unique ways.
In Mahone's case, I truly think it's impossible to assess his actions with our limited knowledge of the situation, and even more limited knowledge of his psyche.
Like everyone who goes through situations like these, I hope they learn from their mistakes and use experience as a sort of inflection point in their life that will allow them to get their life back on track.
Here's to hoping this makes Will a better person.
