Then I don't see the issue? Why is everyone freaking out about him visiting LSU? It's not like this is the first time Les Miles has been sniffing around and it sure as Hell won't be the last. He's going to II and making the trip for 2 games. What more do you want? I think the Barnett situation has everyone skeptical about Tillery, and that's it.

Well he's in LA's back yard, we haven't recruited well there, and LSU is all over him and he's listening.

He's also a ND commit and says he's solid, and is allegedly visiting next weekend, where a lot of these questions will be answered.

I don't think you can say he's as committed as, say, Hoge. I Also don't think you can say he's LSU bound. And I don't think people should laugh at you for your optimism. But you should stop telling them there's nothing to worry about, because the truth is, we don't know yet.

But we'll have a lot more insight after II. So how about we all cool it until then, eh?

I never said he was committed as Hoge, but to be fair, how can you be as committed as getting a decked out Irish truck and moving your entire family to South Bend? I agree with you completely. It's the tension rising, because we're so close to getting him on campus for the biggest recruiting event of the year and this news drops and we see BB Act II. No intermission...

When I said 'you can't say...', I wasn't responding to you ever having said that, just speaking in general.

It's all good in the hood.

One week.

What more do I want? Hmmmmm. Well, how about NOT visiting other schools? Don't tell me you're committed and in the next breath tell me what other schools you're going to visit. Is that really too much to ask from a committed recruit?

And it has extremely little to do with Barnett. It has more to with Darby, Greenberry, Little, Anzalone, Hood, EV, Yeargin, etc etc etc, and. that's just the past couple years. The list goes on and on.

Like I always say to you, your optimism, doesn't bother me. It's the fact you ignore almost all facts and admonish others for being, when in fact you are almost always wrong. I mean, you've adamantly claimed ND was in the lead for players who didn't even have us in their top 5. You've read direct quotes from players and said, "I'm not buying it" LOL. Things like that is why you get so much flak.

Why do you suspect the staff is permitting Tillery's cloudy loyalty given their track record with on-the-fence athletes?

Do they genuinely feel he's solid or are they just willing to politic this one in order to win him in the end?

What facts? This is recruiting, which is almost entirely opinion based. Until there is ink put to paper, nothing in recruiting is factual. A kid can say he's 100% committed and then the next day jumps ship. You can say that "insert guy here" is all Irish, but at the end of the day, he's not All Irish until he signs that letter of intent. It's not optimism, it's reasoning with pure and widespread panic, which seems to be the case today with Tillery. Same goes for every single recruit in any sport. That being said, it also goes two ways. I very highly doubt that quote is taken in context. He has visited LSU before, which is okay, because I'm sure he will return to South Bend and remember why he committed in the first place. Just wait out the week, he'll be at II and fall in love all over again. That's all we can do. You may call me optimistically blind, but to me, you all are just pessimistically blind.

What choice do they have , they aren't going to pull his offer. So they will concede allowing him to visit places and hope they come on top in the end, time will tell but he defiantly isn't solid in my opinion but we can still land him

We'll see. Fact is, they shouldn't be worried, because if Tillery truly is committed, a visit to ND will leave a large impact and further cement the reason he committed in the first place.

Thank God. I had a sense of deja vu talking about Tillery. Good thing it's not just me.

If he's truly committed, why would be need a visit to cement his commitment? Confused.

Because with all these heat coming from LSU, returning to South Bend, where he fell in love with Notre Dame, will remind him why he committed in the first place.

Confirmed for II. First visit since commitment, compared to the 500 he's taken to LSU. We should get a good idea of where things stand coming out of this weekend.

Hey tone it down man. I need you positive. :)

I know, I was just thinking that if I am thinking this way, we have a problem. I will say that there isn't a better fit as a student athlete at ND than Jerry. He would represent this school very well. I also understand the appeal of playing at LSU, especially if you are from LA. I hope this visit solidifies his commitment, but until he stops taking other visits I will feel very uneasy about this one.

Yeah, he visits, says he's solid and IE rejoices, until he's seen in an LSU t-shirt! lol

Tillery meets Hilliard. They fall in love. Only school in common is Notre Dame.

He'll come to II, say all the right things, return home and immediately setup another LSU visit. Rinse and repeat.

Per Sonny Shipp of LSU 247 still status quo with Tillery. Parents want him closer to home but he's "gung-ho" about Notre Dame
