I believe he has been the CAT LB ND had been searching for so long for. Now that we do not have a CAT...I think he would be a DE if he came to ND.

Oklahoma is very much in the mix as well, but keep an eye on LSU … An offer from the Tigers could hurt Notre Dame’s chances.

Per Intel: Parents are in ND's corner.

Edit: With that said, can someone clear up the LB situation moving forward? You have Hilliard, Bilal, Wallace, Masina, and I'm sure others that I'm forgetting that are all high on ND. Am I correct in thinking there's two spots left and they belong to Hilliard and Bilal if/when they want them?

I believe I've read that Wallace could be viewed as a WDE when he puts on a few pounds, but if he is purely linebacker it's going to be a tough squeeze there. After our haul last year I think we may be in for having to turn somebody down that really wants to be at ND. Hilliard is a take no matter what and I could possibly see taking Bilal and another elite LB but I am more confident in 3 at this point.

He's a defensive ATH. Start at LB but most likely grow into WDE. Pretty long kid. Also, Adonis Thomas has us in his top 3. With be tough to overcome UF but we get two days for II to make an impression. Jerome Baker is another name.

This is one of the things I like about the 4-3. In a 3-4, we had to find huge guys to play DE so we were asking a lot of tweeners to play LB and drop. The 4-3 lets us take athletic LBs who excel early at pass rushing, bulk them up a bit and have them play DE. I think Yeargin from last class would have been a solid 4-3 DE but might have struggled as a 3-4 LB. I see a lot of similarities between him and Wallace so the classification of "defensive ATH" fits.

Id like Bilal and Hilliard. OSU can take Baker and Connor as consolation prize.

I think that would be ideal as well and is probably the most likely still. Bilal brings something that the others don't being smaller but very good speed in the open field. With that said, there is no way I'm turning down any of the previously mentioned LB's if they want to commit before Bilal.

Just have a hard time seeing how we turn away Baker. You'd think we could redshirt any combination of Barajas, Bilal and Baker to help stagger the eligibility a bit.

And just because it's Bo's thread, I still think he would be a solid addition at DE with the aforementioned LB group.

Yeah I like Baker, Masina and Thomas more than Bilal but I honestly don't think we land any of them though we are in their top 4 probably for all of them. The confidence on IE is a little too high IMO on Baker and I think he goes to OSU, Thomas likes us a lot but I don't see us overcoming UF and Masina I think ends up at on the West coast.

Coney would be an interesting decision vs Bilal. I prefer Bilal but I certainly wouldn't want to say no to Coney.

Id say no to McGinnis vs Bilal

He went on to list a number of other schools just like that after.
