Yeah, this is silly. Whether Tillery ends up here or not, he is a great kid and he will do well. Some of these other clown shoes however, need to grow up and get their acts together.

If he finds a reason to not make it, that about sums it up for me.

This isn't the case. The mom wants him to go to LSU according to the latest reports.

His parents absolutely 100% want him at LSU.

It was per LSU 247 if you want to look it up... I don't think I can get to it now. Person noted that talking to Tillery's parents at track meet that they wanted him at LSU, and the LSU reporter followed up saying he had heard the same thing. The LSU reporter also said though that Jerry definitely really liked Notre Dame and was happy with his choice so he wasn't sure how good of a chance LSU would have for a flip, but his parents were saying publicly that they preferred LSU.

Jerry himself also has said that he made one of his visits to LSU "for his parents" but you always have to take statements like that with a grain of salt.

Well, don't shoot the messenger here but there was an update on 24/7 that I found equal parts even-handed, factual, and troubling.

Basically, LSU has been making a strong push ever since they got Jeff Grimes. Tillery is definitely listening to LSU, but the reporter got the impression he was still very solid to ND and happy with his choice. Cited everything we knew about academics being important and ND being a dream school and things like that.

The part that is troubling is that is was basically out-and-out confirmed that his parents want him at LSU. That's just so sad to me. It came up as a poster said his parents volunteered that information without him even asking when he sat by them at state track meet. LSU reporter then said, "yeah, but it comes down to what Jerry wants, and he's firm right now."

So yeah... all suspicions/rumors/fears that his mom (and dad?) are pushing LSU seem to be confirmed. SMH.

That makes absolutely no sense at all. Wasn't it just a while ago that IE was freaking out because his mom repped LSU, but she then stated she preferred ND. Sorry, but I'm not buying that. Absolutely no chance. You don't go from a life long ND fan to repping LSU all the way. If his parents are really wanting him to go to LSU, then they need to get their priorities straightened out.
