It will be done in next 48 hours IMO.

No way he wants to go to 5 star challenge with this over his head.

True. But Oregon is still a step down in exposure from ND.

For sure. There's no comparison overall. ND is in the 8 pm prime time slot for almost all away games and obviously there's NBC. Oregon is lucky to play at 8pm on ABC once per year.

QB rarely almost never do this. this decision will be final

ND can't and won't wait till December

I agree with your second sentence but QBs look to move around all the time. Gunner is on to his fourth school. QBs are probably the most likely players to want to change their situation due to changes in circumstances.

Considering this would mean his decision is before II camp, do you still think he sticks with ND?

I understand why he might not want this hanging over his head for the challenge, but his actions are going to be questioned regardless of whether he remains committed or decommits...His mind is going to be on this for a while...I feel by the end of the month we'll have our answer, any longer than that, and we start recruiting another QB.

Per 247 and justin Hopkins it's not looking good for ND and won't end well for ND

Hopkins is all over this recruitment

Gunner is one of the only big time QB's to switch like that so close to signing day that I can remember, sans coaching changes.

I'm just saying that a QB, in general, would not hesitate to decommit if the situation wasn't right for him. Say Mariota comes out in December and says he is staying again (I believe he has another year or two of eligibility). Barnett might not want to be in that situation considering Oregon is pitching he starts day one. May cause him to rethink the decision.

Didn't Ricky Town do it this year? I could probably find at least one example of this happening every year with a quarterback. I thought Blake's decision to ND was final, too.

What's up with that guy? For his ratings and the fact that he's uncommitted, his offers are sub par.

Waller is without question flying under the radar. He is intriguing because he could play in just about any scheme and his athleticism may be his most undervalued trait. Plays a highly competitive brand of football. We would anticipate he'll see a significant uptick in recruiting attention well into his senior year. There is a high ceiling for development here with quality tools to mold. Reminds us of Jacob Park from the 2014 class.

Not going to act like this isn't disappointing. Love Blake's game. Until I hear otherwise, hes still our QB of the future, but if this plays out the way 247 believes. Travis Waller would be ideal. Kid can flat out ball

Mariota has to be the most overrated player in the nation. A lot of people have him as a top overall pick next year, its disgusting.

Oregon without Chip does not have a lot of sense. Dontre Wilson made the right decision. They were destroyed by Stanford, Arizona and they showed signs of being a weaker team than past years. His recruiting also is not as powerful as used to be three, four years ago.

I disagree strongly. Mariota is a stud. He can do all of the things a top-flight pocket passer can do, but also has the ability to be devastating when he takes off and runs. Not to mention, he's efficient when throwing the football.

As a Chiefs fan, i saw almost every game of Oregon to see De'Anthony Thomas this past season and sometimes he is terrible throwing the football, on Hendrix levels. He has nice poise on the pocket but his arm talent is just average. He plays in a very fiendly QB system too. As an NCAA player is good but as an NFL prospect he is grossly overrated.

Hopkins put down a CD for Waller to ND today, lol.

He doesn't have a ND offer and ND isn't even listed as one of the schools he's interested in.

I guess it'd be a nice consolation prize, but there's no reason to think he's coming to ND.
