A name to keep on eye on at DT. Believe he is getting a visit from ND today, and Loy has stated that if we offer we could immediately move to a team to beat.

I LOVE the way this kid plays the game at DT. Reminds me a bit of Derrick Landri, with some EV mixed in. Would love to be able to land this kid - plays wayyy above his rankings in my eyes, and I love his tenacity. He absolutely goes to war in the trenches, and dominates.

I'd like to get 1 DT in the fold early, like this kid. Then play the recruiting game for another down the road. We don't have a huge need at DT since we brought in 3 last year.

He would be a hell of a pickup. The kid was just shy of 350 pounds his freshman year..now is about 295. The explosion sticks out and his motor is high. From what i have heard, he did really well on the camp circuit last summer. Not sure why the lower ranking other than its a fairly deep class at DT. He has wanted a ND offer for quite awhile.

Saw this kid at the rivals 250 camp. He absolutely destroyed some of the best o linemen there.

At one camp he manhandled brumfield. He benched 225 26 times and runs a 5 flat 40.

He has a great motor and averages about 80 snaps a game. He never gets off the field

this came from a LSU message board....they all seem to want him...he is according to them planning on camping at LSU in june in hopes of an offer...tifwiw

*also there was a mention that ND has been contacting him since 2013 based on some of their posts...

otre Dame is hitting Louisiana this week and an Irish assistant will be at Clinton-Silliman Institute today at Noon to check on defensive tackle Jozie Milton.

The Irish have not offered Milton yet, but he does have some nice offers from the likes of South Carolina, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, West Virginia, and numerous others.

Milton (6-3, 294) is rated the No. 38 defensive tackle in Louisiana by 247Sports and is No. 34 overall in the state. Currently, South Carolina, Oklahoma State, Arkansas and West Virginia are near the top of his list, while an offer from LSU and Notre Dame would put them up there too.

How can you only be the 38th best DT in Louisiana, yet be the 34th rated player? Is there some new math I'm not aware of?

It is English grammar, not math that is the problem! 24/7: DT #38
Replace "Louisiana" with "the nation."

Things don't work the same down there as everywhere else .

They literally dont work the same down there. They are the only state not to use common law as a basis for there law. It is a really strange state

I know that True Detective was a fictional show but it does seem to have some reality to how weird stuff can get down there.

His tenacity reminds me of Aaron Lynch. Say what you will about Lynch, but he was a nasty, mean SOB in pads. I want more of that on our D-Line. (Just so long as he knows to keep his head straight when he takes the pads off.)

I hope he does some camps so we can see him against top-flight competition. I don't know anything about MAIS, but I imagine it's a considerable step down from Louisiana public school leagues.

I agree though, he looks unstoppable in his film.

Hes overachieved by far at all camps he has attended. No offer today, but one could be coming shortly. As of right now I like where ND sits in his recruitment. Great kid with solid head on his shoulders. He would be a fit at ND if he ended up Irish. His high motor will take him places wherever he goes bc he has a talent, but a never ending motor is something that you just cant teach. I think as ND fans we all have seen some kids of Elite rankings not have a high motor and underachieved to a point bc of it.

The 22 schools that have stopped by to see him during this period speaks for itself.
