They beat us to the punch on this kid, still baffles me that he hasn't been offered. I know we have beat Michigan in recruiting lately but still wish we would be more aggressive with our offers at the start.

We view him as more of a S prospect and not a true cover corner that BVG likes. Because of that he's been behind a few guys on the S board. I was assuming we'd offer during spring eval but he didn't let it get that far.

I'll feel a lot better if we lock up John Reid and offer Cole. Not sour grapes, and I'd love to have Garrett Taylor, but I think his rankings were better than his film. Love John Reid and Cole.

As of now I have a lot of confidence in John Reid being a part of this class. However, he's planning on playing out the process and going on visits so that may change.

Yeah, but did you see the video of Loy's interview about a week back? It's in Reid's profile. According to 247 crystal ball (not the best indicator, I know), PSU is our only competition. Reading between the lines, he doesn't seem to get too excited when talking PSU. Said he don't know if he'll visit because he's seen it so many times, there's nothing else to see. I mean, if I really liked a place, I'd definately take an OV there during a big game, even if I'd seen in ten times.

Agreed. One thing that's interesting, he doesn't like flying and sounded like that will play a factor in who he visits.

I am generally not to worried. We are being very picky about this class especially concerning Oline. We have a lot of players at pretty much every position that are very interested in us. The only position that truly concerns me is rb.

Evidently he likely won't even be OV'ing to Michigan. Says he is committed right now, but that 'will likely change' with a coaching change at Michigan. I think there is zero chance he ends up at Michigan now.
