I currently haven't had any ink done in my life, but I've told myself next time ND wins a natty I'm getting a commemorative tattoo.

Anybody have any tattoo pics that they'd care to share?

I don't have any pics but I have searched them many times and there are some really really bad ones out there.

The best one I have ever seen was a picture of the four horsemen. Now, that seems pretty generic and common considering "what" to tattoo of ND. (Along with the golden dome or TD Jesus) However, this guy was able to go with black and white shading of the four horsemen but he had an artist that was good enough to nail the blue and gray faded sky. I was at a wedding and the groom told one of friends to show me his brothers tattoo of ND. (Knowing I was a huge fan) SO the guy showed me the pic his brother sent.

Long story short, with a little creativity and a badass artist, you can really land a damn good piece. Take the time to find the right artist. If cost is an issue, save!

Love it.

I've entertained a few different ideas in my head, I don't know a "play like a champion today" tattoo would be awesome or just meh overall. Maybe having the ND logo above it would fill it out.

I'm not a tattoo guy at all, and never thought I'd get one (and won't get another). But I really like this one and I'll never regret it. A bit of personal preference/advice - if you're white and/or have a light complexion, consider getting something with multiple colors. If you're black or have dark skin in general, colors won't show well IMO. You can see how well mine stands out with the yello/black/green/white. No lie, about a month after I got it, one of my Wisconsin Badger friends said to me 'that'd actually be a really cool tattoo if it was real'. That's how well the color stands out. He thought it was a stick on! Lol. Just a personal preference, but I like the smaller tattoos that aren't overly huge and obnoxious with color rather than the all-blue ink ones. Just something to consider depending on how it will look with your skin color.

People actually get ND tats?

Not only ND tattoos. I've seen a lot of Badger tattoos, and now noticing Buckeye tattoos on people in Columbus.

Lol I have the same tat on the same arm.
Got it when I turned 18, first and only tat.

Nice! Funny story - I knew nothing about tattoos and so when I got one, I was surprised when they said you have to come back in a week or so to get it 'touched up'. Well when I got it, I thought my artist was really weird, but I figured whatever, I'm out of my element and I'm sure he's normal for being an artist. I come back a week later to get it touched up, and my artist was in prison and they wouldn't tell me what for. I still never found out, but they refused to touch it up because some artists apparently freak out if you alter their tattoos? Never knew that. Had to go to another parlor to get it touched up.

There was a guy at a tailgate back in '05 that had the four horsemen picture across the top of his back. It was pretty bad ass, don't have the picture anymore though.

I am wanting to get the Leprechaun on the inside of my bicep, just the outline of everything though, no color. Similar to ND's undershirts two tears ago. Only thing I can't decide on is which way to have him facing. It will be on my right arm so it will actually be looking at me if I had it facing the way that it normally does 95% of the time.

Took 6 hours, got it done in one sitting. Fun fact: the artist was Tony Masoli, aka THE Jenna Jameson's older brother. He did a Saint Michael on my shoulder blade too.

People who haven't gotten tattoos won't know this, but that's extremely manly (for lack of better words) to get one across your rib cage, all in one setting. I only have one and it's on the easiest part of the body, but just knowing what a tattoo feels like I can't imagine the ribs.

Was 20 pounds lighter when I got it. The most excruciating part IMO was the part closest to my stomach. The worst places (not counting dick, etc.) to get tattoos are on the ear, ribcage, and collarbone.

*After about two hours, the endorphins kicked in. The night I got it, my immune system was so fucked up I woke up with night sweats and a fever.

I was nervous. It was about as bad as I expected, no more no less. They wouldn't let me drink before, so I went to the parking lot and chain smoked like 3 cigarettes to get up for the tattoo. I hate smoking and could never do it again, but it's all I had at the time, lol.

Alright well one of my buddies just got his 1st tattoo and it got me thinking, do you guys think a tattoo of the dome and the saying, "God, Country, Notre Dame" incorporated within it would be cool? I was thinking about getting it on my shoulder blade.

I would also like to integrate something w/ my grandfather in it too. He played at ND and graduated in '59 but I don't know if it is weird to have a tattoo of someone who is still alive. Thoughts? Suggestions?
