Frank Underwood is an awesome character. First season was awesome.
Season two is out?!
Awesome, awesome show.
I think you can make a good argument that it's the best "TV" show out right now since Breaking Bad is done. It's got the best cast and a super high production quality.
I think it's certainly in the leading pack.
House of Cards
Game of Thrones
True Detective
Mad Men?
Downton Abbey?
Boardwalk Empire and Homeland have fallen off too significantly in my opinion.
LOL @ the Networks...
I watch all of those shows besides Boardwalk Empire and I think it's between House of Cards and Game of Thrones. Mad Men is excellent but there are a lot of dud episodes. I need to see the full season of True Detective before I can make any statements about it being better than any other show.
Game of Throne is more spectacular and entertaining overall but considering it's based off a book I think it deserves slightly less praise than House of Cards, which is original as far as I know.
The Walking Dead
and Sons of Anarchy.
For the record. The peach-shaped water tower in Gaffney really does exist. It is god-awful.
Some more perspective....what he did with his "Citadel" class ring was liken to blasphemy. It is causing much turmoil here. Underwood is a very interesting character. Whoever wrote him knows a lot about the subtleties of the culture. My wife and I were like "oh Lawd... that is not going to fly well." Sure enough I have had several conversations already about what a "disgrace" that action was.
He is unconventional and I guess that is part of his character. I have also read a lot about the similarities between him and Richard III (shakespeare)
I am willing to go further via PM if anyone is interested.
Kate Mara is purdy:]
Four episodes in. A+ stuff so far, better than S2 by a country mile.
