Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but when did Auburn become in play?

When Bama backed off him a while back he started showing interest in Auburn. Still a little shocked he picked them but they were in it with him for a while now.

It looks like Mr. Smith is the only guy we recruited that would have been an upgrade over Quentin.

Personally, I prefer Quentin, but both would have been nice!

Ranking the top 35 offensive linemen in college football. | Sports on Earth

Ha, when I saw this thread bumped, I thought it was going to be about a potential transfer or underperforming and I was ready to publicly eat crow because I was certain Braden Smith was going to be a baws.

Turns out he is a baws and 99% of the world was correct in their assessment.

I'll still take Q.

OL film is the hardest to break down IMO. Q is the best guard in college football when I break down film from across the country and he has been a great representative of ND.

That list is absurd. Mike McGlinchey not among the top 35???? McGlinchey is likely the first tackle off the board in next year's draft and Nelson likely the first guard. Braden Smith's stock right now is 3rd rounder.

Mcglinchy is number 7 right next to Nelson...

Ok I was thrown off by the way they listed him. Still that list is greatly under rating those two at least how they are perceived by NFL scouts.

I missed the Big Mike listing at first as well.

This list is off base.

Yes, but it's a college list. 6'5 300lb LT's can dominate in college. The pros will devalue him because of that though. I get what you're saying, but I thought the list was pretty good. I love watching Ragnow, Zeus Brown, Connor Williams, and some of those other guys play. No clue how good they'll be in the pros though.
