Sadly, they will pay him more than they should. Also, not buying the best defense talk either. 2000 Baltimore was better and you could argue that this year's 49ers defense was better (waaaaay better front 7 and maybe the all time best linebacker crew). Seattle has an outstanding defense, but they were helped a lot by Denver tonight. Let us remember a few of the games earlier. Heck, the 9ers probably should have beat them two weeks ago on the road. I do not believe Seattle is as good as Denver made them look tonight. This seems similar to the way everybody was talking about the Bama team last year was a completely dominant team. Prior to the ncg, a lot of prognosticators had nd playing them close. We made them look great, like Denver tonight. I just hate to give Peter too much credit.

Didn't read the last page but I can say this. You pay Kaep and you pay Wilson.

Why would you not pay Kaep? Because his stats aren't consistent? The great thing about being a QB is if you are somewhat good and your team wins far into the playoffs, you will get a huge payday! Super Bowl and League Championship will solidify that for him.

How do these teams do after paying everyone? Isn't Seattle that 3rd youngest in the league? That is going to be a doozy...

EDIT: Read back and agree with whoever said PETE is one of the best coaches ever. He has proven a lot that is for sure. The Niners still have a good amount of draft picks this year I believe. Be prepared to see my guys compete every year. AGAIN, you pay Kaep and you pay Wilson. Done deal... build around them

Denver's OL coach is going to have a rough night of sleep

Seattle showed up throwing punches...they wanted it...BAAAAD.

Denver O-line = yellow paint (not even a speed bump...just the paint)

Denver O-line coach...throw some coffee on, and update the resume...because that was PATHETIC. I felt like I was watching the Ned Beaty rape scene in Deliverance over, and over, and over...only no arrow came to save Denver's O-line...thus Manning either.

I would also think about releasing the players in the two lanes on either side of where Denver's 2nd half opening kick HIT THE GROUND....A mid-range ball in the air...forever...it bounces up 8 feet in the air, is fielded uncontested, and run right down their throats. FIRED!

The Denver onsides kick was beautiful...the coverage was < junior high. The guy who had the clear path STARED at the ball in the air the whole time...WTF son, are you a Terrior...do you have to stare at the ball to convince yourself where its going???!...FIRED!

It was clear Denver was satisfied with making it to the Superbowl...so they should be good with their participation trophy...plus, all their moms will give 'em a hug.

I can't fucking believe what transpired tonight. I don't think I've ever seen a team so unprepared to play as Denver was. Unfortunately Manning will get almost all of the blame. He deserves some but the whole team was just a complete train wreck. I realize they just made the Super Bowl, but some heads should roll after this performance.

me neither...well except for Denver when they got waxed by Montana and the 9ers 55 to 10. That had a similar feel to it...

...And yea Manning will get eaten alive. I hope he retires...to me the guy has nothing to prove, and lots to lose...

Floyd Merriweather dropped 10.4 million on the Broncos. Much like I did with my vbucks. Much sad

For those that saying that Kaep is not good enough as a QB yet, please remember that he has only ONE FULL SEASON as a starter so the likelihood is that he will get better.

The key is maintaining a solid core, and he definitely is a part of the future of the Niners and the league, as a whole.

Niners vs Hawks will be a major rivalry for the foreseeable future as long as Wilson and Kaep are under center.

Joe Montana was obviously right that he needs to be able to make the throws into the tighter windows more consistently, and I bet he is already working on that part of his game, because he has that drive to get better that the best QBs all have. So does Wilson, so the NFC West is going to be a bloodbath for a while, at the top, at least.

This year's 49ers at a neutral site may have been a better all around team but defensively there is no comparison.

Seattle may have household names in the front 7 like Bowman, Smith, and Willis but the Seahawks front 7 is just as productive. Red Bryant is a house of a man at 315 and he is a 5 techninque with decent mobility. Clemmons is an elite pass rusher for there system. Avril, and Irvin are good pass rushers. Bennet is a a great run support D-end. Seattle's LBs are no names but the numbers against the run show how good they are.

I think San Fransisco has better front 7 if you just look at it from a base generic defense perspective but Seattle has more depth and they have great situational players for every down and distance situations. I'd say the front 7 is a draw at best for San Fransisco because Seattle while not is good overall has better situational players.

Secondary is no comparison which makes it no comparison in terms of the defenses.

I'd say Seattle has an edge in scheme as well. Carroll is the defacto DC and although I despise the guy he can coach. They also run a hybrid defense that is a 4-3 where half the front really plays like a 3-4 which makes it easier to find guys for in the future.

Personally I think it is a scheme that ND should consider it would really fit our personnel well as we have guys built for both the 3-4 and the 4-3.

Is it weird that it looks like a sloppy drawing of the female reproductive system?

Pure coincidence?

All in your mind?

Just a matter of how you handle the data?

Get a life, Dude?

How observant of you?

Kill me now?
