good point on our front, but ann arbor always starts out on fire with their jr days and many on here start to panic and say the staff's not doing enough to secure early commits and momentum into the season.

also they look like they may pickup a high profile QB soon following the OC up north.

Fair point, I was just focused more on taking a shot at scUM's recent losses in the '15 class haha.

Also, I'm with you on the criticisms of the staff's early recruiting... I think they do a fine job of jumping on the guys that are initially under-the-radar, as well as slow-playing/discovering guys late in the process. But I've never been one to panic about a class that's more than a year from signing either; that's stage 7 in Recruiting Addiction.

this year will be especially stressful to those thinking along those lines due to the fact that this will not be a very large class in #'s so i can see us having less that 10 commits possibly going into the season

The way things are going in 2014, I would not automatically assume 2015's number will be all that low. I also predict a ton of defections/transfers and depth chart casualties in 2014/2015.

I agree...the way things are going and all the defections/transfers/injuries I think the class size will be about normal.

I know that he has to kind of say this...but I still like hearing it. This would be a great get.

I believe the last 2 classes were expected to be small and because of early departures and transfers/medical injuries that has not been the case. I will believe 2015 will be a small class next February.

Nothing new really but it sounds like its between Stanford and ND. An Ole Miss source changed his tune from earlier and says he believes its Stanford and ND. Trending to ND but will be close.

Wiltfong was told by sources it is now a ND Stanford battle. Ole Miss could come back in. Will decide on National Signing Day.

Good. I've always liked when Kelly gets to be the last head coach to have an in-home with a player

I think Kelly likes it too. He's arranged it so he gets the last face-to-face contact with Alexander, Quick and Juju.

Close 'em out Kelly!

There is always a flurry of activity, but it's been a while since I can recall having this many prospects we are in on that will decide on or just before NSD. It adds to the mystique and drama surrounding the day, but it also adds a few grey hairs to those of us who follow the process lol.

I also like the fact that ND is a lot closer then Stanford is. Makes a last minute plan to attend a game a lot easier.

Plus ND will have more games in the Southeast in the future. Stanford can't say that.

This was one of the things I thought would be most advantageous about our ACC partnership and series with Texas. Hopefully it helps with Alexander and other future southern recruits. We can't move the campus out of Indiana, but we will be playing in your backyard.

Shaw was supposed to do his in home yesterday but due to the weather he is now planning Thursday or Friday if the weather permits. It would be great if Stanford never got an in home. However, I feel terrible for the people dealing with this weather. Best wishes.
