I know, but who cares. There's no rule that says they have to start. It's about leadership. Least confident about Ishaq but I'm fairly certain Brindza and Cam will get it.

If someone could find me a recent example of a backup being a captain at ND, I would feel better about Cam's chances.

I'm not counting him out, just not sure on counting him as a captain yet.
If he starts I would bet he gets it.
If he doesn't start (and ND hasn't made a backup a captain in recent past) then I say his chances drop considerably.

When I think Captain I think he has to be starting and be a leader. Who cares about class IMO. With that said I think of:
Russell and Day.

I think Bryant will have to earn his carries like Folston did. I expect Cam and Folston to split carries to start the season, Folston will probably get more carries. I'd like to see us go into a split back kind of set like Oregon does sometime, take advantage of the talent at RB.
