Nah, in context it reads as if Wiltfong is just describing how and why ND surged late in his recruitment:

Wiltfong gives no indication that he knows for sure who Morgan will pick, nor does Tyler James in the article, although he says most expect him to pick ND or something like that.

I'm looking forward to his announcement tomorrow. Picking up Nyles would be fantastic, but I also know that anything can happen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping he brings his ND hat with him. The thought of him and Smith on the field at the same time makes me very happy!

Morgan told 247 earlier in the week that he hasn't told the coaching staff at the school he's going to choose but they have a pretty good idea that its them. Sounds very much like a silent while keeping some suspense for the actual announcement.

Yeah I think it makes all the sense in the world, personally. And I don't see PSU as a step down from Miami at all. Both suck.

IMO Miami and PSU are both "new money" programs. PSU just appears more "prestigious" because Big Ten and also because Miami fans suck.

Since they're both down, I'd say the one where you'll get better support from the administration is the way to go. For Golden, I'm gonna have to say that's PSU.
