Ole Miss magically up to the same shit as last year. Of course, it will all be swept under the rug because its the SEC.

If true... and I haven't seen anything yet that says he flipped, it is a big hit for Bama. With Drake in the doghouse, along with another rb, Bama needs to shore up another future back. They let Roc slide to Auburn due to Bo. And LF is looking more like he is LSU bound. Losing Bo would not be good.

Alabama signed four highly rated RBs last year. And all are listed as RBs on the roster.

Going one year missing out on top RB won't hurt.

Besides the fact that losing BO would move them from the #1 overall class to the #1 overall class.

Are people still surprised Ole Miss is recruiting well? I think they're legit. They have an amazing campus, they offer instant playing time, they've had back-to-back winning seasons, they beat LSU and Texas this year. They should be getting stud recruits based on those 4 things. I don't think they're any dirtier than a typical SEC team.

So their recruits tweeting pics of big wads of cash and all of the recruiting stories don't make you think they are dirty? A team that hasn't won 10 games in 42 years suddenly lands three #1 players at their position?

Ok... i'm sure you're right... they have a nice campus...

Don't forget they have Sandra Bullock adopt inner-city kids and steer them to Ole Miss

Nkemdiche and Treadwill had connections to the programs, so neither of them were surprise recruits IMO.

Ole Miss has recruited well in the past under Ed O and under Houston Nutt.

Going by Rivals rankings, they had the #30 class in 2005, #15 in 2006, #27 in 2007, #29 in 2008, #18 in 2009, #18 in 2010, #19 in 2011, #40 in 2012. So over those 8 years, they averaged having the #24 class in the country. They have always recruited well. They had the #7 class last year, take out the two 5-stars with connections to the team (Nkemdiche and Treadwell) and they probably end up in the 15-20 range. They have the #13 class right now, but have 24 recruits already so they seem like they will end up around ~20.

Take away Nkemdiche and Treadwell, and they have recruited the last two years very similarly to how they had the 8 prior years.

Didn't I just read that they had 2 or 3 others flip recently?

Yes, two 4 star cornerbacks flipped to Auburn.

But, most Bama fans don't really care because they believe they're going to land Marlon Humphrey.

Bama and LSU are going to kill it with players who aren't committed yet. Feeling bad for Bama over this would be like feeling bad for Bill Gates because his PC got a virus.

Treadwell was a Michigan lock up until the day he surprised everyone with a commitment to Ole Miss. How is that not a surprise? No one thought he was going there until he committed.

Nkemdiche was committed to Clemson, another school with obvious signs of paying players, and suddenly decided to open it up.

So because they average in the mid-late 20's as a class, we shouldn't be surprised that they landed 3 of the top recruits in the country in a single cycle? Something they never did before in their history? Something no team as bad as them has ever done?

I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

Treadwell eliminated Michigan in mid-December and had a top 3 of Ole Miss, OU, Ok State. He talked about Ole Miss pretty much his whole recruitment.

Nkemdiche "committed" to Clemson and his mom immediately said that he was going to Ole Miss. There was really no doubt where RN was going to play.

They got lucky that Treadwell and Standifer were best friends and that Treadwell was not a Big 10 kind of guy. Like I said, you take away Nkemdiche who was a Ole Miss lock and Treadwell who clearly wanted to play with Standifer, and their recruiting these past two years has been on par with the previous eight years.

Getting Brown today was the real news for Bama. Now if Marlon commits like expected, the secondary should be set for the foreseeable future.

Supposedly kids at the all-star game were calling Marlon "Florida State" all week. In other years, I'd be ecstatic for your loss (no offense, I hate the Yankees too, but I married a fan), but I'm dreading some of our future games against FSU.

Agree that FSU is a real threat. Their track program is what people are saying is drawing Marlon. He wants to do both and who can blame him - he may very well make the Olympics as a hurdler. Either way, I wish him well. His dad was and still is good for the Bama program.

FSU and their damn track program. We lost a good one because of their track program. At least that is what Ronald Darby said was one of the deciding factors on flipping to FSU.

This rumour went to the store to get bread and didnt come back :(

When Tony Brown announced for Bama at the UA game, Bo was one of the dudes going ape shit on the sidelines in celebration. Unless I'm wrong - was #6 on Team Highlight.. Pretty sure he ain't going to Ole Miss.

Per Luke Stampini it sounds like behind the scenes Ole Miss is in great shape to flip him

Coaches can make phone calls during the dead period. No in person contact can be made. Hence, why ND is able to offer kids during the dead period as well.

As long as the kid initiates the call though, no?

Not to my knowledge. You cant have face to face contact with the player or guardians. All it takes is a call to the HS coach and the player calls. They added a rule that coaches cant attend or recruit at All Star games this year.
