The only 5th year I couldn't see being asked back is Jalen Brown.
Theoretically I could see a lot of guys getting passed up and not asked back.
Carlisle
Hegarty (if he's just backup and someone proves capable Montelus etc)
Springmann (especially if we run 4 man fronts I could see him maybe getting passed up)
Schmidt
Rabasa
Brown
Farley
Hardy (both safeties could be passed up hypothetically)
All o that is very unlikely but it could happen and it's almost certain to happen in the case of a few.
Springman has a spot on the roster if he wants it.
we all bitch about farley but i dont see a scenario where a 2 year potentially three year starter doesnt get asked back. even if he is passed over by redfield you cant duplicate a #2 with that amount of experience
I can, he was pretty bad. But who knows?
Oversign by 1. Adios amigo.
Not complicated.
not good enough. Farley is still a take.
Problems staying healthy, emergence of a Jarron Jones and Matt Dickerson could change things. A switch to a more predominant 4 man front could too. We're talking purely hypothetical and he Springmann is not a complete sure thing. I never said he won't be back just that he COULD end up being passed up.
Oversign by 5 or 6 anyway. ND needs to play with an 85 man roster one time.
Get it?
uh top 50 RB Jordan Scarlett just committed to FAU over Alabama, FSU, Miami, UF, etc. His HS coach was just hired as there RB coach. Insane get.
Jesus... where are this kid's parents? That should be criminal that his hs coach bamboozled him out of going to a school where, if he chose to, could get a good education.

I get the general gist of what you're saying and agree, but honestly FAU is just as good of a school for certain programs as most SEC programs. My aunt went to Alabama on a golf scholarship... had a 4.0 and everything was great but just couldn't stand how stupid everyone was and how crappy she thought the classes were... so she sat down and figured out what school would actually prepare her for a career in something she wanted to do instead of a "degree" in golf + partying.
She transferred to FAU and got a degree in acoustics engineering of some sort and now is nearing the tail end of a prosperous career for a naval contractor working with subs, torpedoes, etc. She lives in West Palm and commutes via plane to the Bahamas where she works on a base.
My point? Just that he's honestly probably not much worse off following a coach he trusts to FAU than rolling the dice at any southern football factory (which seems to be his alternative, as he's not looking at the Stanfords of the world).
I here ya, but i'm guessing that Whiskey could give us some startling differences in ROI between schools like UF and Miami compared to FAU. Bama is one thing, but Florida is actually a damn fine academic institution (outside of the "education" their football players typically get). I would bet the majority of his major offers have better ROI than FAU.
Yeah, both Miami and Florida are pretty fine academic institutions. On a different level than your Alabamas, etc. I think Miami does a pretty darn good job of graduating guys these days too.
