What is the "uniform surprise"?

i was talking in general not one specific person

I know, I was the last one to critique the video so I responded. ND should hire some of these people though, you could have a coach, a recruiter, a marketing executive, uniform designer/maker, athletic director and quarterback all in one. You know how much money they would save?

Oh, and it's "critique," not "critic." A critic might critique, but a critique is, unless read aloud by a second party ,is incapable of speech.

You do understand that I'm just being a picky ass SOB living up to my rep, don't you?

Just sayin'.

Peace. Love. Merry Christmas. Go Irish!

man we have people who not only know exactly what plays should be called, who we should recruit, but are marketing executives as well...

Haha yeah.... Well I'm not smart enough to debate politics, so I'll stick to marketing tactics and brand structure.

I second the Yves notion.
As for the critic of critique, I shalt not critic your criticizing criticism. Are we clear?

Merry Christmas ;)

Now I'm curiously and critically crickets. Can't count or cant causality.

Crap. Crud. Could I countenance credulity?

Cheers!!!

Interesting note from the above article:

Word is that ND wants to be the biggest brand name program in the portfolio of their athletic apparel provider. Michigan was given priority status over Notre Dame by Adidas and it’s likely the Wolverines will re-up with them. This is one part of what led to the deteriorating relationship between Notre Dame and Adidas. With the new additions being made to the Notre Dame football stadium (we’ll have some breaking news on that topic coming up here shortly), ND has decided to make some renovations in numerous facets of their college football program. This has also added to Adidas and Notre Dame going different directions. “Creative differences” if you will.

I would personally much rather Nike, but I get this.

And once again, Michigan is to blame. I still love the UA move though.

And to the bolded above....

Not to be all 'well those closest to the decision know way more than you, so shut up, they're way smarter than you', because I hate that argument when us (fans) are so well informed these days, but I bet after we hear the details and why they chose UA, it'll make a lot of sense. This isn't something that's decided over night; I'm sure there's some pretty good ideas behind it.

This post doesn't worry me about the branding. There are guys who are die hard Ford truck guys but don't chose not to work at a company that make them drive Tundra's everyday. It's just what Jimmy knows. Iggy's wears Nike, so that what he thinks is best. All's good on the grey sky front.

Also... FIELD TURF AND 2 VIDEO BOARDS!!!!!!!!!

Agree. Gotta be some good reason to turn down Nike.

Going to UA could be a turnoff for some more narrowed minded recruits.

I see your point.

If a kid is going to pick a school because Nike>UA then he is picking a school for all the wrong reasons and isn't a Notre Dame kid to begin with IMO. South Carolina and Auburn don't have any trouble recruiting and winning with UA

Two new jumbotrons, on the North East and South West corners of Notre Dame Stadium. Strategically placed as not block the “Touchdown Jesus” mural on the exterior of the nearby library.

Gross.

The reason to switch to UA is that we will be there premier school. Nike has Bama USC Florida that are big money makers for the company. UA is going to treat ND like their prized possession.

And how cool would it be if UA was advertising for themselves, but had Irish players in the billboards/commercials.
