He was. He was teetering on completely off the board. That USC visit... man, what a killer weekend. Didn't get immediate results, but we were able to make a very serious move with every recruit in attendance that we had a true chance with. It was a big time atmosphere with some big time football between some big time schools. Our "night game" big recruiting weekend + banquet have been straight aces the past two years. Too bad we didn't get Hilliard on campus for that game.

It's such a shame that we blew it with our USC weekend back in 2011... there were a lot of reasons that class fell apart, but I think that was a pretty big one of them. 9-3 with an impressive win that weekend hosting that crop of recruits would've been great.
